A good place for kids. Small, lots of activities and animals. Be there before 12 everyday for the otter feeding. Snapping turtles and snakes. Beaver dam with a kids room of Lego inspired toys. Kids under 3 free and $10 a person not a bad price. Stop in for the kids if you are visiting the area.

This place is amazing. I’ve never seen otters this close and so clearly. The feeding was a lot of fun to watch. There is an area for the little kids and tons for kids of all ages and adults. The scavenger hunt was a hit with our kid. We didn’t know what to expect but this was a huge surprise for being such an amazing place.

The entry was free. Really great exhibits. The river otters were fantastic Lots of children having fun. Quaint location. We learned a lot and would go back. Definitely bring your children.

Took my niece to the museum. Definitely exceeded my expectations. Has a bunch of turtles and fish. Good play area for the kids. The were two sea otters and the worker was so nice enough to wake them up and feed them while we were there. She spoke about their habitats and what their likes and dislikes were and it was quite reliving to hear how comfortable the museum staff made the otters, you can see it. Amazing employee made us feel comfortable and welcomed. She even took out the live snake to show us how friendly it was and gave us the choice to pet it. They also had a great program for homeschool children as well while I was there. Definitely enjoyed and will come back whenever I am in Pocomoke again.

I believe there is both, but will check and get back about Military. Seniors are $8.00.
For certain special events admission is free or reduced admission. At times there may be an events that is underwritten by a sponsor. There are sometimes, for example where there is a lecture series or other function after-hours. The cost for those are very reasonable with member cost being reduced as a perk of the membership. Members also receive a discount on purchases at the Museum Store. (Items in the store on commissions by local artists do not apply for the member discount.). The Museum Store has an excellent selection of items for children, including educational toys. They also stock great items for gifts or just to treat yourself. My last purchase was a pair of scocks with river otters swimming on them. I love them and plan to purchase more for gifts. The North American River Otters are the most loved exhibit at the Museum.

Not in Pocomoke but Snow Hill has a place where you can rent boats and kayaks to go out on the Pocomoke River.
The Museum Store does have gift certificates for sale and it is possible to purchase gift memberships.
