A beautiful and secluded place to go overnight or just for the day. Park rangers were very friendly and helpful when I had some car trouble. Very well maintained grounds and trails.

Great state park for individuals, friends, families or groups. The park and campsites are clean and well cared for with upgrades. Campsites are level with trees for shade but allow for sun, and the playground is in great shape. There are multiple hiking trails and a lake for fishing, kayaking or canoeing. BHP State Park is an all-around great state park, and we plan to return with our grandkids again.

The staff are super nice and friendly. They recommended the Turkey call trail hike which takes you across the boardwalk, to the observation tower and loops around to the lake across the dam. Wonderful hike of 2.45 miles. I saw wild boar in the swamp while I wad on the boardwalk. The view from the observation tower was magnificent. The trail wad well marked. Bring drinks and snacks, there are no vending machines. Small gift shop inside the visitor center. Public bathroom inside visitor center.

Go to Tennessee State Parks for detail. If you have a kayak it is a beautiful lake, no commercial development around
Need to bring your water with you
Off the water and out the gate.
Nope. None of the sites have any hookups. There is water at the bath house along with toilets and showers.
You should call the office and ask. Sites have grills and the park is excellent
Yes they are, assuming there is no burn band in effect.
