Wonderful State Park, visitor center, campground and lodge. The visitor center is worth exploring and they have a small gift shop. The park staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Well maintained trails. We had a wonderful breakfast at the lodge. The campground was shaded with level sites. I would stay here again.

Wow. We loved it. Great trails and pathways created by the CCC men back in the 30s. Camping at the state park was very nice.

I love this place. The cabins are nicely furnished and the bed is comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The lodge itself is quite cozy and plenty of trails to hike. Its also nice and close to Carbondale.

Beautiful place to hike. Many different kinds of trails. Many of them are moderate or difficult so be prepared! There are lots of picnic spots and a few small playground areas. Highly recommend for family outings!

I've never tried getting TV reception there. What I can tell you is cell phone coverage can be a little spotty.

Yes. Rock climbing and rappelling are permitted. You will have to bring your own equipment, of course.
