Internet been out since my first lease of last year and still out now. Constantly lose service/signal in my room and living room (was even told by the cleaners that were hired by management, they were experiencing no service as well as getting rushed doing their job so expect your unit to be barely painted or cleaned well). The manager as well as the internet provider haven’t shown any effort in fixing it even after I talked and called about it since I lived here (if you call the internet provider, you’ll most likely be on hold for awhile just to get told they’ll call you back, which they most likely won’t from my experience). Emailed the manager awhile back about carpet damage to be fixed and only received an automatic reply that didn’t give any response on fixing it or a response to try to fix it (still haven’t received an response on it). Water damage that’s been here since I first moved here and is still very visible and hasn’t been fixed, also there’s only one maintenance person for all 3 buildings. Got charged a fee for a piece of the blinds that was already damaged before I moved here (found out while I was paying rent). I only recommend this place for being a close walking distance to campus then again there’s better places than this dump. The staff is friendly as well and have tried their best to provide a better experience which is very appreciated (staff changes constantly so only a few are actually helpful before they’re replaced by someone new).

Decent living space with comfortable indoors, friendly management. Its been a month and as much as i like my space, there are things which needs to be focussed on by management.stairways are always a mess, stink and maintainence requests are not addressed soon even after multiple reminders.

I wish I could rate Clubhouse with half a star but sadly that is not an option. This apartment complex is terrible, the management barely manages. Communication is never a priority. On move in day, I went to get my keys at the time they had given me via an email. When I got to the office, a staff member told me they changed the time to give keys out and they were just now sending out emails to let new residents know. Fortunately I convinced them to give me my keys. I had people to help me move in, but they weren’t going to be able to stay until keys were to be given out. I have called many times and never received a call back. I have emailed to set appointments and have yet to get a response. There is always trash everywhere and the place just stinks. It smells like I’m walking down a back alley. There is supposed to be valet trash 5 days a week; they pick the trash up when they want. It really is not worth it stay at clubhouse. I have no clue how there are reviews higher than 2 stars on here. My mother came to visit me and was scared for my safety because the complex was so trashed. She asked if I was living in a third world country. The gates are always left open, leaving chance for anyone to come into the apartment complex (resident or not). For the price that I pay to live at the Clubhouse, I should not have to worry about my safety and health. They do not care about residents, they care about money. Do not move here.

I was very excited to move into The Clubhouse for another year at UofL but I had a rude awakening on move-in day. These pictures are of the hallways and stairwell leading to my room. I am embarrassed to have guests or family members visit and I have to hold my breath anytime I leave or come home. I have heard several people complaining and I know of people who have contacted management about these issues but they are yet to be resolved. I pay quit a bit to live here and I think that it is more than understandable for me to expect a clean environment. The least they could do is pressure wash.

Questions & Answers

Do you have to be a UofL student to move in.

No. My roommate has a job in Louisville, and is not a student. I had verified this by asking at the leasing office. This is an affiliated housing operated by a private enterprise, not directly by UofL

Is this place just for students.

There are some advantages they give to students (renters insurance). It's very pricey, but if you need quality short term furnished it can be just what you need.
