Rosa, no it's best done in person for legitimate accurate and immediate help.
You need your Verification of Benefits from your worker or get one printed at the front desk if you're on Cal-Works/Food Stamps. Your Social Security Card and of the people who live with you/family and kids. Your DWP bill and I bring Gas too. Rent Receipt.I think that is it. When you make your appt. They tell you what to bring too.
Call them and depending on your address they make the appointment to the place that suits you best
