LOVING FAMILIES BEWARE! Cypress Lawns will take your money, and then disappear when it is time to honor your loved ones. Twenty years ago, my grandfather prepaid for a crypt and a plaque for him and his wife. There are written contracts and paid invoices documenting this transaction. He died, and then last year, my grandmother passed away during COVID. Cypress Lawns interred their bodies but is now saying that they can’t put a plaque up because there would be too many names on the family crypt (even though crypts of the same style only fifteen feet away have the same amount). As of today, my grandparents are both buried in unmarked graves with Cypress Lawns saying that is the best they can do. Their names are Ben and Nellie Cassinerio – at least their names can be read here on Google Reviews since they cannot be found at Cypress Lawns in Colma. Cypress Lawns has given my father and uncle the runaround for almost a YEAR. Michael Marks, the point person for their interment has made it clear through his lack of effort, failure to follow through on signed promises, and inability to return phone calls that this is just a business for them. These are my grandparents, but I will tell you that I am also a minister and have performed dozens of funeral services and worked with multitudes of funeral homes and memorial parks. Most of funeral directors are kind and patient, and they go above and beyond for families in their time of sorrow. Contracts are simple and kept. Phone calls are returned and extra patience is offered. Cypress Lawns is an obvious exception. Families beware.

Grateful for Marzine Art and his fellow coworker for bringing our loved one to church. They did not only drop off our uncle, but also ensure everyone they spoke to was in good condition before they left. In the Tongan tradition we keep our loved one over night. In the small amount of time Marzine and his coworker stayed for, it made a difference. on behalf of the family and church members we thank you both for making sure everything was good before you left! Much appreciated🙏🏼

Kind and understanding staff working here. Attended half dozen or so funeral over the years. Large viewing room and an upstairs dining room make the best for family and friends of the dearly departed

Thank you so much for making this available. I live far from family (Placer County) so this was very much appreciated. Bless one and all at Cypress. In Gratitude. Janet Marie Junio
