Such a lovely place to stay at - I can highly recommend it. The location is fantastic, just by the beach, walking distance to restaurants & shops, and a hop & skip from Venice. Get a bike from the hotel (at no additional fee) and cycle along the beach. Very chill pool and bar area in the backyard and the friendliest porter/bellboy, who will always share a smile and well wishes, to start or end your day.

Stopped in Santa Monica, celebrating my honeymoon and stayed at Viceroy for two nights. SERVICE is impeccable. From the minute you get out of your vehicle at valet, to the front desk, to the pool area, to the restaurant they have, to literally everyone you pass- everything is absolutely amazing. The pool/lounge/restaurant area is just incredible. Location is close to the pier but without being so close to all the loud noise and crowds. Easily accessible to the beach and bike rentals. Viceroy actually has bikes you can use. We stayed on the 6th floor, facing the ocean which had a perfect view. Room is very spacious, bathroom is gorgeous. I highly recommend staying here. Very very luxurious!

Nice hotel and great staff. It hasn’t been over-run by families, which is a welcome change, enjoyed the intimate and chill vibe. Lobby and patio area are great for working remote. Great bar and pool with awesome tunes.
