Hampton Inn Green Bay Downtown

The Hampton Inn Green Bay Downtown was definitely a downtown hotel. Because it was connected to a convention center, the entrance was a bit confusing. Once we were in, Paris greeted us with extreme friendliness and information on things to do that evening. Parking was available in a lighted deck. There was a nice outdoor area with seating in the back of the hotel facing the river. This pleasant area along the brick Heritage Trail was a nice place to hang out. I didn't realize any Hamptons still allowed smoking, but I definitely smelled smoke upon entry and later a hint from our room. The first impression of the lobby was not impressive, and the elevator was not clean. This seemed unusual for Hampton, but the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing we didn't like was the sliding bathroom door that now seems to be a part of all Hiltons. They do not offer much privacy in the bathroom. Otherwise, our sleep was good, breakfast was typical and sufficient, and then we were on our way.

The staff is friendly and helpful, even during a busy anime convention weekend everything was clean and the breakfast was probably one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. My only note is the pool is just okay and could use a hot tub or something fun in there. Still 5 stars because I know that would be a big fix

Lovely!! Clean!! Friendly!! Front desk staff were awesome 😎 Both day and night crew! Special THANK YOU for putting our bikes in meeting room for the night ,we didn’t have to put back on carrier ,we used them both days. Good hot breakfast too. Perfect location for us 😍 Also SAFE!! We saw security walk abouts, we noticed a door ajar and mentioned it to front desk, he assured us it was very recent as he had just finished his rounds!

1000% a good experience. Amye who checked us in needs a raise! I made a reservation earlier in the day (thankfully it was a random Thursday night stay) and I asked for a river side room as high up as we could. This location sits right downtown Green Bay and on the river, I wanted my son to enjoy the view. Amye said the original room we were given probably didn't have the BEST view we were looking for, so she changed our room AND we put us up a floor higher! She was the best, great great service. The room was clean, the view was right over the river like we hoped. Free Wi-Fi, and Amye heled find a dinner spot too 😁. I even had the pool to myself later which was just awesome. The free breakfast had all the things you'd hoped would be there. There was a little bit of everything to choose from and the ladies who were preparing it kept it clean and well stocked as people flowed in and out. The beds are extremely firm, so I didn't sleep great but you can't really knock a hotel for that 🤷‍♀️I mean, you can't please everyone all of the time and if all of the other things were great, I'd say it was a good experience.
