Was a lot nicer a few years back when there wasn't so much freeway noise, but the hiking trails are still absolutely breathtaking and I personally love the sound of the freight trains that periodically roll through across the highway. Most of the campsites are fairly small and exposed but there are several that are huge and/or more secluded, and the lake it great for swimming. The water isn't that great though, so if you or your dog are more particular you're definitely gonna want to bring your own. My pup got dehydrated after a few days because he wouldn't drink until he absolutely couldn't stand it anymore. It's not going to hurt you but it definitely tastes kinda funky.

Park itself could have been better. Minimal hiking trails, campsites not maintained very well (our fire ring was fill of garbage I needed to clean out before I could cook), and lots of garbage laying around throughout. The location is lousy with the interstate, air strip, and train track all very close. Trains blowing horns at all hours of the night. The couple of plus sides were that there was minimal traffic within the park so didn't have to worry about my kids running around, and it was pretty quiet (no loud partying, music, etc.) Overall, there are much better state parks to camp in if you get reservations in early

Great hike on a perfect day! We did both north & south side trails. The long bluff had a few steps to get to the top (>100’ up 😵💫) well worth it for the views.

Great campground with a beautiful beach. The only downside is the freight trains and highway that’s on both sides. The trains are super loud especially at 2-3am. Also- most sites have no electricity so don’t forget the power bank and extra flashlights. Loved my stay but I don’t know if I’d do it again

Emily it should say on the Wi DNR Site, and be sure to have a sticker, they will check for that.
Mill Bluff is just outside Camp Douglas on Hwy12 headed towards Oak Dale.
There are pit toilets in the campground itself as well as over by the beach area. There are no flush toilets or showers.
Toliets yes, showers no, Mill Bluff State Park has a family campground with 21 campsites that are wooded or partially-wooded. Six sites have electrical hookups. Campsites 7 and 10-21 are very flat and accessible. The park has vault toilets and hand pumps, but no showers. Showers are available for a fee at area vendors https://dnr.wi.gov/topic/parks/name/millbluff/camping.html
It's just off hwy 12/16. If traveling on the interstate, it's just a few miles from the Oakdale or Camp Douglas exit, depending on which way you'll be traveling. The hike up the bluff if worth it. Hope you enjoy it.
Not sure if there is any rock climbing around here
