We decided to make a day trip to check out the trails and marina, and enjoyed our visit! You wouldn't have known that the parking lot at the lodge was packed as the grounds were quiet, clean, and provided us with lots of room to run around! We enjoyed visiting their pollinator grounds, had fun birdwatching, and enjoyed their fitness trail! Definitely making a weekend trip sometime in the Spring!

Stonewall is an incredibly quiet resort. It’s picturesque but it’s quiet. The whole boating area around stonewall resort is a no wake zone. The pool is ok, half indoor (small) half outdoor. A larger area around the indoor area would be nice. The pool lacks a swim up bar… the rooms are less resort like and more like a hotel. They are clean and decent but just like a hotel, if you are staying at the resort. The beds are very comfortable. They have a firmer mattress with pillow like top. The bedding is down and the pillows are great. The rooms very much a lack a patio or balcony! There are 3 restaurants here which will be nice to try out. There is only one boat cruise offered on Tuesdays and of course they was sold out for both times 1-3 and the evening hours. There is a cool walking bridge that takes you across the lake to a campground. Wonder if people get rowdy over there. The bridge is wide and disability friendly. But there is a gravel hill going up and down so if your in a wheelchair be careful and take it slow. The restaurants are not easy to get a hold of but recommend to reserve ahead of time for at least the lightburn restaurant ! The staff are a friendly as well as the customers. The drinks are pricey so byob unless at lunch/dinner. We have yet to explore the town of Westen or Roanoke but seem slow and lazy. There are miles of Walking trails around the lake. The golf course looks pretty nice but will also need to check out tomorrow. They do have golf carts if you were wondering….I do not recommend coming here with a bunch of young friends, maybe older family members and kids … you can rent kayaks as well.

We have been here several times and each time is more enjoyable…lake, pool, sauna, spa, hiking trails, golf and tons of other activities…three restaurants a coffee station, and a gift shop…

Beautiful lake resort. Second time here, traveled from Northeast Ohio. Just far enough to feel like a vacation. Lake is gorgeous with abundant wildlife. Hiking trails, golf course (I don't golf), multiple playgrounds, bike rentals, and WARM pool! Went swimming outside in 60 degrees. Resort is well kept and food was good. Ate at both Stillwaters and TJ Muskies. Sweet potato fries and caramel. Order it. You'll have died and gone to West Virginia heaven.

Sunday at 6:45. I dont think they have them tonight, since they are doing 2 Sundaus. Burnsville has them tonight.
Over priced for the campground. They use to give coupons for the pool, boat rentals but no more.
No, its a state park. All wild life is protected.
I'm not sure, but you can call the marina to find out the prices for the different boats that they have.
They do have a section with some very nice cabins along the lake below the golf course. Check their website for details.
