Very nice quiet and clean shelter house. They have a small park for the kids and the lake is very nice. It was a great place for our 2-year-old granddaughters birthday party.

A.W. Marion State Park Campground aka Hargus Lake by the locals. Park is close to town, but far enough away to get some peace and quiet. Hiking trails were well maintained, clear and not to strenuous. Campground is on the backside of the lake. Looks like they have and are upgrading areas within park (site pads, new playground, And dam). Very clean, small, no showers, and 1/2 the sites are electric, no water and no full hookup at any sites. There is one loop where all sites are electric only. If possible get an outside site to get yourself a little privacy and a bit more room. Electric sites we marked, should we visit again: 35, 36, 39, 45, 47, 51, and 59. Would be easy sites to back our 34’ TT into.

Nice little campground. Has about 30 electric sites and 30 non electric. Two little playgrounds for the littles and a store for ice and wood. Grounds were kept clean and tidy. We will definitely be back.

Nice state park with lake. The park has several picnic areas with restrooms. Restrooms weren’t clean though. Dogs are allowed on trails. Family friendly Park with multiple activity like Boating, Fishing, Hiking etc. We particularly enjoy the 5 mile loop trail that around the lake in a circle. It goes through the woods, picnic areas and campground. Definitely revisit.

Bass ,Crappie, Bluegill and Channel Cat. Heavy fishing pressure makes it difficult at times. South end probably overall best area.
Ours was $27 a night this weekend. Go check out reserveohio.com for Ohio State Parks prices and availability also you can reserve online there.
walk. all within waking distance. it is why you went, right?
😆 When? The park allows hunting -in season- for... Squirrel. It's a small park tight against residences.
Your best bet it by the boat docks or on that's side. If you're up for a hike you can walk around the lake and find hidden spots.
