Love this place. Great camping and trails and beach. Cox hollow 77 is a good site right next to a great trail that takes you to the waterfall and a few other great spots. Also close to the water bathroom

Stayed in the Twin Lakes Campground. The camground was wooded, and felt secluded between sites. The sites were in good shape. Hiking trails, beaches by the lakes offered fun recreation. The surrounding landscape has both flowering meadows and wooded hills. Had a great time.

First time camping at this park. Twin Valley campground is very nice no full hookup for campers, that should never be a deterrent, ever. Flushable toilets that were spotless and heated (early spring camping). Wood for campfire is 6$ cash and is decent wood actually. Had a double site that had plenty of space. The beach was clean and the water was clear enough to see the fish and turtles swimming by. The trails lead to amazing views of the lake or rock bluffs and outcroppings, caves and nature views. A weekend is not nearly enough time to spend on these trails.

Just spent only a couple of hours in this park, on the way back home, so we were just able to check out Stephens' Falls, which is a 5 minute walk from parking lot to the falls. Nice little waterfall. Will visit again in the summer to check out the beach and hike some of the interesting trails.

Dobey Stables. Just stop by the Crystal and Mineral Museum right past Governor Dodge on your left side as you are coming from Dodgeville. They run the stables and if I remember correctly you can take an hour or two hour trips through the park. You cannot go alone though. A guide goes with you.
Yes but you'll need a park sticker. Stephen's Falls is quite popular and beautiful for a day hike.
It is paved around the lake otherwise you should bring a kid back pack
Lots of camping spots. Both electric and non. I've never used the backpacking ones, so can't help. The regular ones are roomier than most with good tree areas between them.
Yes, but in a very limited way. There are only 30 sites available. These are electric sites. None are guaranteed to be plowed. Fire rings are available. There is water available at the park office. If you don't have four wheel drive and good tyres, make sure to inspect the site prior to reserving to make sure the road is actually plowed.
There both good but twin lakes beach has a bigger. shallow area.
