Leawood City Park

My main teason for coming is the playground. It is only shaded in the early morning and late afternoon. It has equipment for little kids, and older. It is fenced, and has a lot of space for running. Sitting space is limited. It is located very close to a highway.

Pros: 1) One of the best city parks I’ve ever gone to 2) Very spacious 3) Lots of waking and biking trails 4) Public tennis courts (4 minimum - 6 including the pickle ball dual-purpose courts) 5) Public pickle ball courts (4 realistically - 8 theoretically) 6) Public basketball courts (1.5) 7) Has a water park (costs $6 child $8 adult) within it - but sometimes only open to leawood residents 8) Has a public playground 9) Has a public off-leash dog park 10) Has many soccer fields and a baseball field (have to reserve them via the website) 11) Various usable pagodas with benches and tables 12) Public beach volleyball net (minus the beach) Cons: 1) Lake appears to sometimes algae over in the summer

Lynel Seawood

I personally like this park. It’s not as busy as Shawnee mission park. Has a small wooden area for bikes/ walking, swimming pool, tennis courts, dog park ect…. Clean and safe park, what else would you want. Has the bike and bike trails that lead in and out of the park for access to other parks of the city/metro.
