Wonderful Campground, awesome trees, several nice hiking trails, no shower.

Disclaimer: I camped here in early October: both in COVID conditions and extreme wildfire danger, so no campfires were allowed and all trails were closed. With that being said, I will totally camp here again. I love being in the mountains, close enough to Idyllwild to venture into town with an easy 10-minute drive, but far enough from the high volume of tourists to feel at peace. This campground has pit toilets only, so keep that in mind if you’re looking for flush toilets and showers. However, there’s potable water taps in several places in the campground. Friendly ranger and camp hosts. Beautiful place!

Quiet, private camp spots (ours was anyway). Decent proximity to water stations. Typical campground vault toilets, meh. Several hiking trailheads within the campground. This was a great spot!

Great camping stay at Stone Creek campground, came to the area to do some hiking, there is water faucets around the campground, the sites are nice and well marked, rustic latrine bathrooms have hand sanitizer. Site 50 is big, next to the garbage dumpster and recycling bin if you don't want to walk too far to dispose of trash.

I think it was $35/night for RV. We showed up without a reservation, but it was a weekday, and there were only two RV sites left. There seemed to be plenty of tent sites available.

I personally have not seen nor heard any such animals, but my camp mates have said they heard some coyotes lurking about. My brother frequents this camp and he's not encountered bears or mountain lions, but he has apparently seen a fox in the middle of the night.
