The Nature Center is a place of beautiful hikes and sites. Along my way on the trail I spotted a few tiny mushrooms hiding in the duff, this mountain has its fair share of biodiversity. I plan on coming up much more this season, 10 out of 10 recommend.

Our family had a wonderful morning checking out this beautiful park! Trails are very well maintained, and easy to follow. Lots of folks bring their dogs (all were kept on leashes), and we also saw quite a few other families with young kids. Don't forget to check in at the Nature Center to pay the small fees prior to hitting the trails. They've got great information to make sure you're ready, and sent us out on 3 easy trails with some info!

When you see a self-pay station drive down towards to find a parking lot closer to the trail and the nature center store. This is a family friendly trail surrounded with beautiful wilderness. Well maintained restrooms. You have to buy a day pass $4 to spend time and walk around here, from the center store. Picnic tables are also available with nice shades. Can see few wooden benches as well in the trail. Vista point the one which behind the store is gorgeous amd has more photo ops.

No fishing at the nature center. However, lake Hemet, and some of the small lakes on the hill do.
The necessity for chains can vary from day to day depending on the weather. We did not need any, this past Sunday. But then again we were driving a 4wd. There were a few icy patches on the way up. It's good to have some on hand just in case. The Nature Center has some sledding / snow play areas and it's $20 per vehicle to get in.

Absolutely, just make sure to pay your day use fees at the Iron Ranger at the parking lot. Public parks need your support!
I would strongly suggest you contact the nature center directly before making plans.
