Move East was referred to me by a friend who did a similar move across the country. They made my move from the east coast to California incredibly easy. I had to move my belongings in a matter of one weekend. I contacted several moving companies that told me I had to schedule these moves two weeks in advance in addition to a coordinating a video call for them to evaluate everything that needed to be shipped. With Move East, I was able to set up a cross country move in a matter of four days. I called them on a Friday and my stuff was picked up on Monday. The folks coordinating the move were incredibly patient and accommodating. The folks who picked up my furniture did an incredibly job at wrapping my delicate and bigger pieces of furniture. I'm talking several layers of saran wrap, blankets, and even a box big enough to carry my large wrapped dresser. After picking up my furniture on the east coast, I received daily email updates on where the truck that had my furniture was located. I really appreciated that communicativeness. My furniture ended up arriving exactly one week of picking it up, which felt super fast! The movers who loaded my furniture in (Fernando, Max, and Raymond) were BEYOND INCREDIBLE!!! They swiftly loaded in all my furniture, helped unwrap and even put together my furniture. They were all so nice and so professional and made sure every box / piece of furniture was accounted for. Lastly, the cost of the entire move was so much lower than the other rates I received for moving companies that wouldn't even be able to accommodate me for at least two weeks. I'm talking thousands of dollars less. I 1000% would recommend Move East to anyone making an east to Cali move. Thank you Move East!

It is extremely stressful to move your belongings from one coast to another. I've used CA-NY express twice now and highly recommend them. They are very transparent about the costs involved, have excelled processes that they follow to ensure that they have packed everything and you receive it all on the other end and they are flexible with the delivery date which helps a lot. In general I would say it's best to spend a little bit more for this peace of mind. My cousins chose cheaper movers and lost 70% of their boxes with thousands of dollars. Go with these guys they're the best by far.

Absolutely do not recommend if you want your furniture in one piece. They broke 4 pieces of furniture (nightstand, desk, shoe cabinet, book case), despite a decent amount they charged for every little item (~$4200 for one bedroom apt) and a generous tip. We haven’t unpacked our boxes yet so we don’t even know yet if there is damage to other items. They didn’t reattach the handles to the dresser. Not only that, they told us we had to pay their parking ticket. Very disappointed with the service and recommended to a friend moving from CA to NY not to use this service.
