Perfect location if you want to visit the university, Good food. Good Hamburguer, and Tomato basile soap. Rooms very clean. I will repeat next time. Congratulaciones to the hote team.

Great service and personnel! Everyone is really friendly, helpful and outgoing! The hotel is really big with many different meeting and conference rooms. The food is delicious and they have a great variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. Also the staff is really aware of the importance of gluten free diet (especially in the case of health issues like celiac disease) and everything is carefully separated so that there is no risk of Cross-contamination.

A large wedding party was arriving and accomodations were months prior and were told they could check in earlier than 3pm since many were arriving out of country and a ceremony an hour and half later. HALF of the rooms were not ready! People were doubling up until they were ready. The bride and maid of honor and brides maids rooms were to be near one another but eneded up on sepatate floors! The entire wedding parties room service was taken care of BUT the hotel CHARGED the guests AGAIN separate! Also no directions on how to use the new phone system even the employees came in and had to figure it out in order to show us. No microwave in rooms. Plus I got charged the next week a pet fee and there were NO pets there! Still waiting on that to be credited back.

Nice place but curiously lacking some basic amenities for a four star hotel. Has a refrigerator, but no microwave. No stockpile of plasticware or anything like that, just the mini fridge (empty) and a coffee maker and the usual ice bucket with a couple glasses and some coffee stirrers. I'm told the fitness room was decent. The restaurant sent food up to the room at our request, which was nice, but there are no options to get food from the hotel that we were aware of after 9:30 pm other than going out to get food or call for delivery from somewhere. Breakfast is pricey, as is pretty much everything on the menu, though the selection was good. I did not see an in-room local restaurant/attraction/shopping guide anywhere. Very clean, well kept room in general, however, with a nice big screen TV and comfortable sitting chair. Cold air on the floor though, so I sat on the bed or with my feet tucked under me on one of the chairs most of the time for decent room temp overall. Would stay again for convenience and peace of mind, but it's rather overpriced in all areas for what is actually provided.

There is the Science Drive garage very nearby that allows paid or unpaid parking depending on the day and time. Some of this parking is reserved for the hotel, I believe.
Great questions! Thank you for asking. Guests are welcome to drinks purchased from our outlets on property. Drinks purchased from outside sources may be consumed in guest rooms only. There is a designated smoking area in front of the hotel at this time. As per Duke University policy, the JB Duke - all of Duke University - will be entirely non-smoking later in 2020.
