We had THE best day of our lives here. We are so glad we chose SAP for our wedding. We chose the chandelier ball room which took our breath away when Rebecca Young showed it to us. We had such ease in working with SAP. The food, the staff, the venue, everything was absolutely perfect. I cannot recommend them enough for your wedding, too.

So nice to be able to go back post-covid and enjoy this great historic horse racing park. I miss the donuts at Clockers Corner, but I love the early AM, crusty old guys, pre-computer era clientele that embrace the beautiful patio at Clockers corner, mentally processing the days racing lineup with a paper program of the day. Sadly, I'm sure some patrons succumbed to the COVID pandemic, remember them in your thoughts and prayers when you come to the races. This property should be guarded with one's life, I'm sure land developers lick their chops over their visions. Great that it is in the Registry of Historic Places certification, so that it's presence will remain on Southern California soil permanently. Amen.

What a tremendous day we had even though it was raining, we still had a fabulous and fantastic day looking at the horses and enjoying the day filled with great company in this beautiful place. We will be coming back very soon, hopefully it won’t be raining but if it does we will still have fun!
We breed cows, pigs, chickens to eat. Thourobred breed oh horses exist only for racing. When one goes down , it goes to a slaughterhouse for people who enjoy horsemeat. What's so wrong with that ? You all act like the horses are thrown in big pit and buried. Just because you don't enjoy horsemeat doesn't mean others shouldn't. Would you care if horses were bred for consumption just like cows, chickens and pigs ?
Do you think other animals feel no pain when they are processed for us humans ?
Lastly, what's your plan for all the thourobred race horses if racing was shut down ? Turn em loose on the high plains to run free ?
Wild horses break down in the middle of no where. How come your not out there saving them from being consumed by wolves or coyotes ?
Absolutely! Santa Anita offers some great options for children. In the infeild there is a play place and a pony-ride operation. They also have certain weekends with blow up bouncy house slides.
If they owners of the horses even THINK there is anything slightly wrong with their horse, they Scratch them from racing that day. Either days before the race, or minutes before. They Certainly DO NOT want to lose their horses!
Hi brother, if you get there in the morning,8: am. Go in through gate #8, off of Baldwin Ave, you'll find a good place, and it's free... Then walked into the park,,, it's free... then you have a couple of hours to handicapped have a good day brother
Will Santa Anita Race track have promotions to win RVs, cars, trucks, vacations, gift cards for gas, gift cards for dinning at local business, hotel gift cards, vouchers for apts, rental of homes, and condos? T-shirts are free advertising.

Not really sure might have to go on there website to check it out to be sure for your question
You can buy each horse in each race, but that is not a pick six and is not cost effective. To play eight horses in each of eight races would be making 64 bets (8x8) times the minimum bet of $2.00 would be $128.00. In each race the winner would need to pay $16.00 or more to win. Not bloody likely on an average day.

Depends on how old your daughter is, if she is less than 14 then this is far better than OC fair.

That is a very good question, I am not sure yet but with the new CDC guidelines it would be that we don’t need them.

From what I heard and read yes unfortunately I’m sorry to say.
So NOT TRUE!! Review your sources as that would NEVER happen. I have been going since I was a very small child in the early 70's! I have seen accidents happen inside the gate, and seen beloved Jockeys I personally knew severely injured and killed.
I have also known owners and trainers and was up close and personal with the see Gorgeous horses for over 25+ years. Yes, accidents have ALWAYS happened! But, we had NO Social media and NO activists , such as PITA MAKING UP what just doesn't happen, nor has EVER happened at the track.
If you saw a photo such as you describe it was either NOT from a Racetrack ANYWHERE, or was photoshopped. I am definitely NOT into this "spreading fake news" thing. I have seen the Horses cared for by LOVING owners and Trainers a like, and I have seen the worse happen as well.
ANY True Horse lover does NOT believe these outright Lies being spread about Santa Anita!
They DEFINITELY DO NOT DUMP HORSES IN THE TRASH!
That is So fake, it's quite disgusting!
Last winter was a record winter.... all the Lakes were filled... the track was screwed up..... it's like the football players... they go from grass to Turf they throw their knees out.... their careers are over..... fortunately we don't put them down.... if it wasn't for thoroughbred horse racing.. none of those horses would have experienced The Gift of Life...in our world everything ends...
Kenneth brother you're wrong.... those horses are treated with royalty it's mind-boggling how those people live back there... Theygot it tough.. those horses live like royalty ... I know I work back there.. and if you're caught hurting a horse.... that's a felony.... and then they deport you.. ✌💞🏇🏇🏇🏇🏇
Is Santa Anita looking at solar farm or roof energy plans to lower costs? Great Breeders Cup! USC vs Oregon game may have affected attendance! Park and grounds looked great!
They do. Any fire in the area they take in evacuees. They just don't do it as a P.R stunt. The track does alot off behind the scenes stuff for the good of the horses not for P.R.
Sandy S. You are crazy. The horses are not being "killed". Its a part of life. I hope to Sana Anita to watch these beautiful horses run. The mgmt is not killing the horses but allowing us to see their beauty.

Hello Ms. Emma:
It remains a mystery as to why so many horses (23) have died there since December. There are experts trying to solve this dilemma, but so far they have no answers as to why this has occurred. Stay tuned.
Best Wishes
You can purchase online if you are not going to the track. Try Santa Anita race track site or www.DRF.com which i believe is the link to the daily racing form
How do I move to this track from md and get a job.

Im no expert, but i would take a trip to CA, go visit the track during one of their meets, and talk to people who work there. Go visit the track several times while youre in CA. Talk to as many people as you can. My understanding is that it really helps if you know someone who works there. Another thing that might help is talking to people at the MD tracks. If you already work at a MD track, that might help too - in that case, talk to your co-workers. Previous experience working at a track might be a little helpful when applying at Santa Anita. Do as much research on Santa Anita as possible. Again, im no expert. Maybe someone who works at Santa Anita now will see this and be able to give additional advice.
There will not be live racing at santa anita on the 4th. The meet has ended and they are no longer running at Santa Anita until the next meet begins. If you want to catch horse racing on the 4th, check out Los Alamitos in Orange County where they will be having special holiday thoroughbred racing on the 4th. Racing will continue at Los Al for a few more weeks and then will begin again in San Diego at Del Mar.
The park is very beautiful and staff is somewhat friendly. The only downside of it was the fact that there restrooms were not easily noticeable. Plus for someone who has a disability and needs a wheelchair, good luck with that. They don't have any !!

Yes, those all may be architectural design flaws from when it was constructed back in 1934. In those days accessibility wasn't as much of a priority as it is today.
The whip is truly just psychological and doesn't hurt the horse at all because their hide is so thick. One way could be lowering the weight of the jockeys and their equipment by 10 or 15 pounds - would help the horses tremendously and result in many less injuries ...
I belive they are the same . Pick six you bet on 6 consecutative races. Net pool distribution.payoff is based on how many people won. When you have question when you win you can ask teller they are fabulous and will explain. Nobody wins the pick 6 it carry over to next race and become pick 6 jackpot
How many entrances are ?

Change is constant as racing is trying to excite and gain the younger generation. At Keeneland as a kid no announcer. Flag is up and you needed to know your Silks.
No, but if you join the Thoroughbreds Club (free to join), you get discounted admission all the time and occasional coupons for free Clubhouse admission.
