This is the best place for hiking lovers. No difficult tracks, no problems, no issues just a joyful hike. Even one who don't know to hike properly can come here and enjoy hiking. Tracks are so good and environment is just great!

Love this place. Very scenic trails and miles you can go. I went on a weekend which was packed but arrived super early...otherwise half of your time will be spent finding parking and walking from your car to the trailhead.

We did Sturtevant falls trail which is about 3.6 miles out and back from chantry flats parking. The first .6 mile of the trail is a steep pavement road which can be a bit challenging while coming back from the hike. Rest of the hike is really pleasant with minimal elevation gain and is shaded throughout. Falls at this time (June end) have less water given the rains this year. But the pool is quite refreshing. Parking here is a headache. We reached around 11 am and had to wait quite a lot to get a free parking space. People had parked on the road way before the actual parking starts. So I would suggest reaching here super early or later in the afternoon when most of the crowd is going back. Overall, a very nice hike. We had 3 kids with us aged 6, 4 and 2.5 yrs. The elder ones had no problem walking the entire trail. We will definitely come back when there is more water to the falls.

you can check it online and the size depends
Always open
Definitely not open to the public right now. The main road up to Chantry Flats is being rebuilt.
You can always check with the USFS, but here is the situation. The Bobcat fire shut the forest down. It will no reopen until April 2022. There are signs on the gate that indicate this, but that does not help before you drive. Hope this info helps.
You would need a $5.00 Adventure Pass. The closest place to get one is at the Adams Pack Station, on the weekends, or at the Am/Pm gas station at the bottom of the the hill. However, due to the recent Bobcat fire, the canyon is closed to the public until April of 2022.
Yes the road is opened.
any 7-11 nearby have passes for a day (day pass) and annual passes (annual pass)
No, Chantry Flats is all the way up Santa Anita.
From what I have seen throughout the years, usually this place is closed on the 4th of July
They are a bit, don't drink the water if you jump from Hermit Falls
Yes if you park in the parking lot. If you park by the road, you dont need to buy a pass
