Great place to take the kids if it's not too crowded. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was practically empty. Kids had a blast chasing seagulls and playing in the water.

Great place to get out on the New River Inlet and watch to churning tides flow in and out.

Beautiful peaceful beach, at least all the way to the end. Parking is $5 per hour or if you have a 4×4 vehicle you can drive into the sand. The parking attendees are really friendly as well. I also saw a lot of people fishing.

As long as your above high tide you should be ok. Honestly, there's not a lot of room for trucks there .
Negative, all you have to do is pay the fee and you're good to go
It is open and passes are available, but as of 2 weeks ago the kiosk was broken. So people are just driving onto the beach without paying when that happens, because they cannot pay. I can't promise that is OK, but the sheriff was out and seemed to know what was going on/not issuing tickets...
