My family and I stay at Topsail annually, and this restaurant has become a staple for us each year. The space and ambiance are excellent, and sitting next to the massive windows overlooking the ocean makes for an enchanting dining experience. The food is also excellent, from fried seafood to flavorful entrees. The shrimp appetizer is a particular standout! I highly recommend this restaurant, it's definitely the best place to eat in Topsail.

The view is great, but that is about it. My steak was over cooked, I asked for it to be medium rare and it was basically well done. The restaurant was very very warm, we over heard other guests asking for the AC to be turned on and the waitress said it already was. Our drinks were left empty for a very long time as well. And two of the staff members we interacted with were somewhat rude… also we asked for the crab dip to go, and they put it in between two sheets of aluminum foil, which made it impossible to heat up. Overall not worth it.

Our group ordered the shrimp and grits, California burger, one seafood platter with flounder and oyster and the second with flounder and shrimp. Thankfully the flounder and shrimp comes broiled or fried but the oysters only come fried. You can’t mix the two ways of preparation. So any oyster combination must be fried. The place was quite busy. It was going to be a 45 min wait so we went to the bar. It seemed that it still took that long to get our food. The wait staff did their best to get to each table. Our waitress noticed that only 3 of our dinners had been served and asked if the 4th dinner had been mentioned as if were it not already promised to arrive soon, she was going into the kitchen to raise hell. The food was perfectly cooked and with lots of butter taste. I thought, based on the size of the menu, they had a good variety, even a vegan burger.

I have no complaints. First off the restaurant is on the 7th floor of the 2nd building. The sign also says it. Second the menu is a small selection of hard to find food. I had the Alaskan fish, which was good. There are some tasty mixed …
