One of the best campgrounds around. Clean, well spaced among pine trees and quiet. The loop is excellent for daily walks due to its elevation. When you enter the camp ground you go up the loop to the left and then come down to the bottom as you loop around to the exit. Red River (town) is 2 miles away and the river is 1/4 mile away. The camp hosts Alan and Cara were so friendly and informative that we stayed an extra day to explore the area. Easy drive to Taos area for a day trip.

Loved the camp ground!! Better and cheaper than paying for a hotel room!! Clean bathrooms, you can buy fire wood with the host and great night skies

Been going to this campground for over 20 years. Normally this is a great campground. Not so much this year. Camp host this year was very nosy. He was watching and questioning every thing going on at the campsite. Hard to relax and enjoy when being watched and questioned about everything. Thought it was maybe a one time thing but it happened all 4 visits this summer. Also the way he was pushing for camp fees to be made in certain ways makes me wonder if he was not pocketing the money. Not an enjoyable experience at all this year.

Beautiful mountains, fresh air, and 2 lakes with Red River up the road make these campgrounds one of the best!

Make reservations if possible too or you may not have a spot
Not sure about the bike rally. There are no showers here but vault campsite style toilets.
