First of all I've been coming to Red River for years and have always had a good experience here. I love the food but last week I was there, went in and there only 2 tables with patrons. I walked up to the counter and the owner/manager/ asked me what I needed. I told him I needed to place an order and he said we are busy, take a beeper and you can order when its you turn. Fine, I understand. I own a business myself and understand staffing issues and things like that. He seemed very put out that I would just walk up to the counter, but that's how it used to be. I didn't know. Sat for 30 mins with my beeper waiting for that delicious food and in walks a local I've known for years and he walks right up to the counter and orders a huge meal. I'm thinking I've been waiting for 30 mins just to order and now I have to wait behind this guy and all the other orders ahead of me. I guess there is such a thing as Home Town Advantage. Went to the Dairy Bar and had a delicious hamburger.

This is by far THE BEST place to go eat!! The people were great and the food was EXCELLENT! We will definitely be back!

The chicken fried steak was pounded out when we ordered! It was delicious and so were the Christmas Huevos Rancheros(Yosemite Sam). Wonderful staff and the environment is filled with nostalgia!
