Checking an ID to enter a public building is a clear violation of the fourth amendment. Do better.

This review has more to do with the parking issue than the business itself. When you click on the SSA to find out more detailed info. Under parking it says "Customer Parking". Which leads me to believe that they offer free parking somewhere onsite for their customers. That is not the case. The only parking area onsite is for their employees and it is gated. With two security guards stationed in front. Only place their customers can park (somewhat close) is either across the street. On San Carlos and 2nd st. at a parking lot @$6.00 an hour. Or at a parking garage on 2nd street. Entrance on 2nd street. Left side. Blue building. Not sure if maybe I missed the free customer parking lot. I did circle around the area a good 6 or 7 times. Unfortunately I didn't have the cash to pay for parking so I had to leave. So frustrating. FYI the office on Fontaine the parking is free.

I have nothing but pleasant experience with this SSA location. From the phone call-- yes it was a long wait but I already anticipated it. The lady on the phone was very thorough and she made sure I got the appointment thru my email before ending the call; to the day of my appointment-- I arrived at 8:35am (9:15am appointment). I was the third in line. The security guard gave me a trivia about my last name (LOL) we both came from the same country. It was super quick transaction! Got my number thru kiosk touchscreen and was called right away. I was done in less than ten minutes. Just make sure you have your appointment confirmation (email or other means) and you have all your documents ready.

It takes "forever" on the phone to schedule an f2f appointment, which is essential for me because the document I need to deal with can not be processed online. And when I come on time, they just treat the people according to the scheduled time a joke by letting them wait outside forever long. It is ridiculous(It's not just a minute or a 30 minutes wait, which I think can be tolerable) As a non-citizen, the only thing I could do is write a real comment here and give them the rating they deserve, though they won't care whatsoever

Gp online to the website and goto where it says make an appointment and fill it out
Yes most definitely Happy Holidays and God bless always
Yes appointment based only. No walk ins allowed
Why me?
I doubt they will validate parking. Public parking was not too expensive but rather hard to find a spot during normal business hours.
Of course not. You think they actually want to provide service?
No. They will not give appointments for that. But...you are better off going to the Campbell office or the office on Cottle road. If you go to the one downtown, go around 3pm any weekday except Wednesday. Otherwise you will wait a long time to get screened through security, then you still have to wait in the SSA office.
No
Usually no one comes with appointments
If its just a replacement card you should be able to do it online via the website.
Yes. Did you request the change on divorce papers? If you didnt, you will have to ha e a copy of the divorce decree and fill out a name change. You will also have to have a copy of birth certificate to verify previous name
Go online at social security.gov and go-to where it says appointments and set up your appointment online.
Online at ssa.gov. Good luck.
Yes it's best to make an appointment.
Talk to a person who prepares taxes. Passport. Find someone near where you live.
It might take up to 3 week's

No, but whichever parent is present will need to prove their relationship to the child (usually by showing the child's birth certificate and your own ID). It is helpful, but not required, to know both parents' social security numbers.
There are no application fees for Social Security benefits applications, but most people can only receive benefits if they have paid into the Social Security system in the past (by working and paying payroll taxes).
