Mosser and his team are absolutely amazing and so so so helpful. I got double incision about 4 years ago and I have to thank the team for helping create the body that I was meant to have. I will always recommend this team for any of my friends looking to have top surgery

I went to Dr. Scott Mosser for breast augmentation as a trans women and he did an excellent job and he explained the tradeoffs of different sizes and techniques specifically for my body type. As well as his office worked with my insurance and simplified the paperwork a great deal.

This is a great question, and the answer is that it is a combination of both. A skilled surgeon will be able to communicate with you what you can expect about the final appearances of a scar. The customization and specifics of how you would like your chest to appear must be discussed between you and your surgeon. This will prepare you for the most realistic understanding of what to expect after a top-surgery procedure.
Phone consultations are free.

Thanks for inquiring! Yes, we have many patients that visit us from out of state. We typically ask patient to plan to stay in the San Francisco Bay Area for about 10 days around the time of surgery to account for the in-office pre-op and the first post-op visit. If you’d like to begin the process of requesting a consultation, feel free to visit us at https://www.genderconfirmation.com/contact-us/ Hope you have a great day!
That's a great question and thank you for asking! Actually things have changed a bit and I probably do drains more than 50% of the time these days. In the past, there was more of a negative mythology around drains and patients with considerable chest dysphoria really dreaded them. For that reason I gave patients an option to avoid drains altogether if they so choose. However, it is probably medical best practices to use drains because it makes for a more reliable postoperative course with regards to swelling. Once patients understand this, I find that the majority actually prefer to have drains because a reliable recovery is most important to them. Ultimately it's a conversation between doctor and patient where the patient is empowered with the option to choose one where the other.
