The garage collectors are really lazy. Won't pick up properly placed cardboard next to bin that's within size. Also regularly misses pickup of my trashcans. They are in front the night before, spaced 3 feet, and no obstructions. Are they blind?

This 5-star review is for their customer service! I was gone on vacation, and missed this week's trash pickup. I also needed to do an urgent yearly pickup this week, and could not do it via website (note: you're supposed to schedule it a month in advance). Ladonna was my customer rep, and she called the outbound drivers to see who could pick up my garbage + recycling, and scheduled the pickup for me even though it was way after the suggested window. The whole call was polite and quick, and I didn't have to wait through 5 minutes of automated call menus to get to a human! So thank you Ladonna, and thank you ACI!

Unfortunately I'm not on the bill and can't make a formal complaint with the company, but the driver that has our route keeps tossing our trash cans and leaves a mess down our street. It's almost like a trail of bread crumbs. The trash cans are not even all the way filled. I miss having waste management, never had an issue with them.

This "Container" is what was supplied to us as the annual complimentary clean-up container. At the time I ordered it, the customer service representative described it as having the same capacity as the small dumpsters they used to supply. This is inaccurate and a complete misrepresentation. This bag can barely be considered a container and is held together with tape and bits of rope. Words can't adequately describe how inadequate this container is, so I'm attaching images that should help. I'm giving two stars only because the customer service representative I spoke with last night was very kind and apologetic. Other wise it would have been one.

In a plastic bag in the grey garbage can (not the green compost one).
You have to phone & ask. They may want to charge you if you’re replacing yours because they’re broken. If the truck broke then, be firm and unrelenting.
Put it in the grey bin
Sure!
If you have a mattressYou want to get rid of throw away, & don't want to pay a disposal fee, I came up w/ a method for mattress disposal years back that requires little work & won't cost you a penny. Learn how & see many of my other useful tips, life hacks & oth÷r" ive come up with,
You can get rid of 3 large items like mattresses thru the once a year ACI pickuo
Grey garbage bin, unfortunately. ACI doesn’t have a way to recycle foam right now.
What do you mean? Vacant properties only have garbage pickup if the owners are paying for it.
Tree trimmings can go in the green bin, including branches up to 6” in diameter. Construction debris has to go in a dumpster that you rent.
Only at the Davis St Transfer Station in San Leandro, I believe. There will be a charge: http://davisstreet.wm.com/doc/newpricesheet01012019.pdf
You can take them to the ACI office on Blanding near Oak. The Alameda Free Library also takes Solent batteries. If you’re going to IKEA, you can drop them off there, too. (Near the Returns area, I believe.)
Tree branches up to 6” in diameter can go in your green bin. MAKE SURE THE LID CLOSES! Mine was left unemptied when some branches were sticking out & holding the lid up, ugh. Larger branches can maybe go in your annual free 2 cu yd pickup.
