We toured this premises and we were very impressed with the maintenance and cordiality of the staff there, especially Missy Stalcup. The particular plan we needed were booked, and we missed one by an hour. However, Missy went out of the way to figure out a way. She looked through her records, and saw a tenant was requesting to move out early, so availability could come up. They prioritized us especially she knew we wanted this place badly and quickly within a week. The community is so coveted that good apartments go within hours. She did all she could so that we could avail the wonderful unit.

The apartment complex is good but the resident services has a lot to improve. Cons: Resident services need to put in the hats of residents while serving them rather than being rude at times. When requested for help for few problems and mentioned that I wasn’t happy with services, the reply was to end the lease instead of resolving problems or come to a conclusion on it. Packages are lost and hard to track it sometimes. Swimming pool water is so salty and has quite a bit of chlorine. Fire alarms turns on for the whole building during working hours once a week at the least. Pros: Maintenance is good and gets answered within 1-7 days. Good access to groceries. Great floor plans and build.

This apartment is NOT SAFE. ANYONE who does not want owned cars stolen should STAY AWAY!!! Our car was parked in the SECURED & GATED underground garage and was STOLEN. We reached out to the residence office immediately this morning we found the car missing and they told us that the garage surveillance saw 2 strangers drove it away around 9pm last night. I could recall a garage maintenance with lots of new faces yesterday and I highly suspect that was why, however the residence office replied with a firm NO. Well then, you tell me how this could happen for a gated community??? Good job Monticello - you let 2 strangers entered and stole away a resident car from your SECURED & GATED garage :) TBH, I have lived in this apartment for quite some time and it is actually a very difficult decision for me to report this issue publicly, like here. I still decided to proceed and let everyone know so that you can avoid such horrible experiences. PLEASE VOTE for this review so everyone who is considering can see!

This is such a wasteful property. The outside lights turn on at 5 pm and sunset isn't until 7:30 pm. How difficult is it to install light sensitive switches? Moreover, there are landscape lights in the garden areas that are completely overgrown and useless. But they turn on every night. Such a waste of electricity.
