All correction facilities are bad and they treat inmates in inhumane ways, but they also treat families like second class citizens and try to punish inmates through families not allowing visitors and making up rules. Most inmates are minorities 99%,blacks, dp a's nish and immigrants and that should tell you enough about what's going on in this country.keep the poor poorer and oppress them until they die.

The officer’s are very rude there they don’t treat you right and they get mad if you ask any questions like if they don’t want to work and everything there is really dirty they don’t have nothing clean the floors are nasty and very dirty i had very bad experience there with the officers we go there to visit our love ones they should be more nice and respectful

The corrections officers in the lobby are polite. My only complaint is that I had to change my pants because the clasps on my uniform pants couldn't pass the metal detector. I accidentally left them in the restroom. I called the next day to see if they were turned in and the CO told me they tossed them. It sucks but I own my mistake. It would be nice if they have a lost and found.

The officer who Checks people on Tues. and Fri. is Rude and just Not very Nice. He talks to us waiting to see our family in your facility like we are inmates. If I knew it would help at all I would complain to the commanding officer, The Chief Who ever. It would fall on deaf ears. So why waste MY time. I will give my Review on social Media Everytime I'm asked for it Reguarding this facility and it's Employees. Poor, negative 5 stars. staff Needs Better People skills.

You can get shop.icaregifts meal deals before 10 pm on Sunday
You can do it online. Just Google how to put money on an inmates commissary. It should walk you through the steps.
You have to register online and it takes about a week to either get approved or denied Eservices.sccgov.org
Yes, blue jeans are fine, as long as they're not torn or cut off and aren't so lowrise that your back or underwear show when you move around. Elmwood doesn't restrict colors the way some prisons do. Basically, as long as you're covered from head to toe and your clothes don't resemble inmate uniforms (bright orange, all green, or black & white stripes), medical attire (like scrubs), police uniforms or military camo, you should be okay. Make sure your shoulders are covered too. No tank tops. It's up to each guard's discretion what constitutes acceptable versus unacceptable and it's inconsistent, so don't assume that just because you wore something to visit before, it'll be okay next time. A different guard might interpret the rules differently and have a problem with it, so my advice is: keep a spare change of clothes in the car just in case. See https://www.sccgov.org/sites/sheriff/pages/elmwood-visiting.aspx for more details.
If you have his pfn number you can look him up on inmate locator OVR Santa Clara county
Here: https://m.sfgate.com/news/article/A-Garden-Takes-Root-New-project-blossoms-at-2805079.php#photo-2210651 These were the only legit photos I could find. Photos from inside the complex are scarce, as cell phone usage is not allowed by visitors (and of course inmates). So correctional staff or in this case, journalists with special permission, are the only ones who could take photos.
