Great experience!!! It was my first time to sign up for any city library. I brought my daughter with me and sign up process was very straightforward. Within 5 minutes we both got library cards. They have a huge section for children's books. My daughter likes reading book and borrowed 20 book (limit is 100 🙂) also they have variety of DVDs for all. On upper level they have lots of computers for public usage and another huge book section for teenagers. They have laptops as well available to borrow for use in the library.

This is a great library. They are starting to have more in person children's events, which my kids always loved in the past. They have tons of book choices and a large ebook/audiobook selection as well- I can pretty much get any book I want. If they don't have a book, they are great about taking patron recommendations and purchasing books. They have strong wifi, even from the parking lot, and lots of nice reading/studying/working areas. It's very well maintained and in good condition, and the librarians are all kind and helpful.

Easy parking. There are many foreign language books. I can easily find what I want. I also got some video games. Books can returned at any SCCL.

Update- The library is open for people to enter and choose books in limited numbers. They give you instructions and you need to follow, to maneuver only certain parts of the library. 10 books per person other than the hold in’s. In the pandemic there is no access in-person in to the library. The best way to get books is to put the desired books on hold and go pick it when it’s available. The library has books categorized for children’s book and can give you a bundle of 6-8 books age appropriately. There is no late fee or fine currently for late returns. Books and CD’s are dropped off in to a large bin. The library is currently not accepting books and CD donations. The staff members are very courteous. Social distancing and covid precautions are well taken care of. There is a security guard at the entrance, keeping a close watch on everyone’s activities. Parking for the library is on the second floor. 1st floor is used for covid testing.

I would not recommend it. The parking garage becomes inaccessible to cars after midnight until i think 5am and its not the safest places since foot traffic can come and go.
Yes, we have a scanner upstairs near our reference desk. You can scan to a USB drive, to an email address, or to DropBox or Google Drive. All scanning is free.
