Denali Cabins - Denali National Park

Our first impression was it looked like a cozy place to stay. We booked this as part of a tour. Lots of improvements are needed. Check in was simple. The room/cabin is very tiny and basic. Don’t expect much here as you are pretty far in Alaska. The bathroom is super tiny, the shower is not the greatest. Our bathroom toilet kept breaking. The beds are extremely uncomfortable. Our backs started to hurt after 2 days of sleeping here. ***On our last day our room started to smell of sewage**. It was really unpleasant. The staff is limited with support to help fix outside normal hours. We found ourselves having to open the top of the toilet and stick our hand and lift the drain to flush the toilet. Not ideal! The shuttle staff was great. We had a bad experience with the front desk. It was early morning and we inquired about a water refill station and the guy at the front office response was, he continued to shack his head showing “no”. It was very dismissive. Our second to last night I requested a birthday or cake of some sort. I wasn’t expecting much, however the female bartender on staff responded “not sure what you want me to do”. The food is mediocre and overly salted. Very limited menu. The staff needs to attend hospitality training. I would avoid this place and book elsewhere. We were very glad to be moving on and leaving this place.

Staff is great and working hard to make your journey easy and enjoyable . Somewhat out so patience and smiles a virtue . Great side trips and access to the park.

Stayed for 3 nights. Pros: cute little cabin all to yourself! Fives a great Alaska experience. The restaurant and coffee shop on site were good. Cabin was clean. Tap water tasted good. Good wifi connectivity. Kind staff. Cons: the shower was TINY. I am 5’4” and there was hardly enough room to bend down to wash my legs. Not insulated very well, so it gets VERY cold at night. Flightseeing airport is right behind the property and the planes taking off and landing was pretty loud. Overall our experience was very good! The facilities were clean and the staff were friendly. I’m just not sure if it was worth the price.

I was disappointed no microwave anywhere for guests. Great employees and accommodations beds are very comfortable rooms are very cozy.
