This is a good place to rest your head if you need that in this part of town. The hotel description is awfully optimistic. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. That’s about it. The hotel facade and the lobby offer a nice greeting. Beyond that the halls and rooms are in real need of updating. The decor and lighting are very old and drab. I didn’t want to do anything in the room but sleep. The reception area is all black and the employees wear all black. This is way out of vogue. Except for a very small area in the lobby, there is no place to sit and relax. Two out of five is very accurate.

Positive: The location was great! The hotel is very cleverly decorated and clean and comfortable! I was worried about the parking situation, but found street parking both times within easy walking distance. Negative: Really loved the charm of the place, but if you're looking for pristine, generic, modern rooms this place might not be for you.

The sheets had clearly not been switched, so they gave me a new room (and upgraded it, which is above and beyond), but the cleanliness is still not good. Stains on the carpet, chairs covered with crumbs, etc. They also did not restock either mini-fridge, so there was no water when the list on the table said there was. There is a general musty smell to the entire building, which I understand is likely due to it being an old building and is probably only treatable to an extent. There is a certain charm to the place, and personally enjoyed the animal theme. The staff were very helpful. But ultimately, would not recommend. You're better off finding a Hyatt or similar for around the same price.

Does everyone who stayed here have the lowest expectations in the world? The building is super cute from the outside, but that’s about where the pros end. This is by far the smallest hotel room that I’ve ever stayed in. The paint and wallpaper in the room are peeling. The television is tiny. The bed is okay. It’s not uncomfortable. The person at the front desk told us where to park, but it wasn’t a ticketed lot, so we couldn’t get in. I would never stay here again.

The hotel itself doesn't provide it, but you can buy a bus pass from any grocery store and take the bus.

There is a parking ramp you can pay to use. Sometimes you can luck out and find free parking on the street and then Uber everywhere.
