I just bought a new central vacuum unit to replace an old one which finally died after 40 years of use. I called the two suppliers in my area (greater Springfield, MA area) and one told me I’d have to bring the old unit in because there could be compatibility issues, and therefore they’d try to replace the motor. That seemed odd to me plus I didn’t want to fix my old unit, which has a dirt can and a cloth filter. I disliked both as dirt/dust always flies into the air when emptying the dirt can or cleaning the filter…messy. I also called Grand Central Vac in West Springfield and spoke with Dan. He never questioned compatibility issues etc., and I visited the store to discuss my options. Dan guided me immediately to a unit after we discussed square footage of my home and my preferences. I definitely preferred a central vacuum unit with a disposable bag, preferring to pay for the bags vs dealing with emptying a dirt can. I wanted to replace my tool kit as well, so he explained the options, I made my choice and scheduled an appointment for the install of the new unit. That went great. My new vac works perfectly and I found Dan easy to work with, knowledgeable and helpful. I feel he cares about his business and works well with customers honestly and fairly. He has what’s often lacking today—good old fashioned customer service skills. Will never again call or consider using that other company in my area which installs central vacs. Dan and Grand Central Vac is the one!

Had problem with old central vac. Called Grand Central and spoke to Dan who was tremendously helpful and courteous. He went thru possible problems and solutions and pricing. Will definitely purchase new vac from them in near future. Hard to find such excellent customer service now a days!

We had a central vacuum system installed and the experience was top-notch from start to finish. The salesman was not pushy and very informative. We took our time making our choice on which unit and were able to get installation within a week. Matt the installer was excellent, efficient, clean and kept us posted throughout the process. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

Hi Brian, No clue what a Eufy vac is yet if NOT a central vac then not able to help you
extremely doubtful as would assume loss of 24 volt continuity keeping the relay engaged for the motor to run. If you have a hose with an on/off switch would consider that suspect? Way to determine is jump the low volt contacts on side of unit (leaving valve or tubing open so not run with no air flow) and if not cut off verifies external wiring or hose issue.
Hi, If piped for it really no reason to come out..just need you advise # of valves and if tubing in basement run to a power unit location? Why not either call the office Mon-Friday 10-4 or feel free to stop in to try all of the systems and view the numerous accessories. Have nice rest of your weekend. Dan
