So hard to find the words to write about my experience. I had a long journey with falls road. Some of the techs were kind and compassionate. I had a great experience with one doctor. Everything else was terrible. My cat came in for an infected bite wound on his belly. When I was quoted the price, I cried on the phone and told them I couldn’t afford it. The doctor was completely lacking compassion and said “okay, your cat will die without treatment so id figure something out if I were you.” It took 5 days but I raised $1,200. We were already $600 in deep mind you. After surgery my cat needed daily bandage changes. These were scheduled appointments but I still spent TWO hours waiting in the parking lot every day. The bandage changes were 50 a day and I told them we’d need to think of a more affordable long term solution. Everything came to a head 10 days post op when his wound culture came back positive for MRSA. they quoted me $1,200 for the antibiotics, testing, and daily bandage changes. When I told them this was way too much, they were completely unwilling to work with me. I asked them to please teach me how to do the bandage changes because then I could afford the lifesaving medication if we could remove the bandage changes from the bill. I am a nurse and feel extremely confident with wounds and bandages. They knew this and still refused. They told me they would not give me the medication and that I should surrender him to the humane society if I couldn’t afford care. Which by the way— all shelters were full that weekend— but apparently my cat would have had better odds going into an overfilled system?? It makes no sense. They gave me directions to the humane society when they handed me my cat back and I walked away crying. Well guess what? A friend who volunteers for the humane society said this was TERRIBLE advice! They recommended I never go back to falls road, as they are often money motivated. And they gave me an alternative vet to go to. I did my cats bandage changes for 10 days while I waited for our new appointment. His wound was literally so healed and clean when the new vet saw him, they were shocked at his history. They prescribed him a different antibiotic for half the price, have worked with me compassionately every step of the way, and my cat is now MRSA free with a closed wound (and the treatment was $400 total………) I cannot believe 4 weeks ago I nearly surrendered my cat at the advice of falls road. And now, he’s completely healed…. Their priority should ALWAYS be keeping pets with their families. Keeping families together gives animals the best chance, not surrendering them to an over full shelter.

I frantically arrived at Falls Road at 1 am on a Saturday with a sick pup after she started showing severe GI distress. I was a worried mama with lots of questions. They immediately took my Luna in and started trying to figure out what was wrong with her. They called me to provide updates as I waited in the parking lot. Luna ended up being admitted for 2 nights but I felt like she received top notch care from Drs. Jones and Hayward. When I picked her up they provided me with very specific directions and answered the thousands of questions that I had. Although it was expensive it was much less than expected for 48 hours of care, lots of tests, and several weeks of medications. If I ever have an emergency again I will definitely be returning to Falls Road.

With the exception of requiring useless face diapers to be worn, the care and follow up to my recent panicked emergency visit at 12:30AM for my cat was handled very well. Even if the end result had not been positive, Falls Rd handled everything from my initial distressed telephone call to my arrival and taking the pet carrier instantly to ICU, to allowing me to wait in an exam room, to explaining events in simple terms to the happy reunion after my cat spent the night under the vet's care and observation indicate both professionalism and compassion by the whole team on duty that night and the team into the following afternoon.

First and foremost, the curbside service doing this pandemic was perfect. The tech and vet were excellent with the handling of my dog. I was always worried about an astronomical bill from Falls Road for what I had heard from other pet owners but the service I received was well worth it and the bill was MUCH lower than I expected. I was even given an X-Ray estimate before the service was provide. Kudos to Falls Road Animal Hospital!

I don't know. Their number is 410 825 9100. They were expensive in my opinion. A local vet may be more reasonable. You don't need a hospital to have your cat fixed. I would like make some calls and compare rates.
Not sure if they treat amphibians...but I definitely would call first before going or do a search online to find out where you could take your frog for treatment. I hope your frog.gets better soon!!
Yes you are in very good hands i was terrified for my dog to get his teeth cleaned because he had to be sedated they did a wonderful job he will be going there all the time the do a good job with everyones pets
7:30 am
They do it all. Seriously I have seen so many types of animals in the waiting room. The one thing I can say about them is they take the word waiting very seriously in waiting room so be patient but the docs are great
Is there a nest?
Depends on whether you want mass cremation or cremation with remains... rounds off about $135 and that's not included with the exam fee.
Call the hospital and find out
Office visit is 80 I believe
Not sure but you can call. They are open 24/7
They do spay & neuter exotic pets, (I've had 3 guinea pigs, 1 spayed & 2 neutered), but I'm not sure of the price. The Drs & staff are great! Hope this helps.
Check behavior and if off then call the vet
You pull into a parking space then call the number on the door. Tell them what parking space you're in. They'll come our and get your pet. You can do the intake form on online or over the phone
Not sure about a pig...it cost me $4500 to try and save my moms dog and we had to put her down. It was my choice though, for them to continue trying. However, if you call them, they will give you a ball park figure, so you know what to expect. Also, they have 2 different credit card companies, that may be able to helo with your exspenses. Praying for you Baby Piggie.
Ultimately, what you do is up to you. It is possible for the cat that is not FIV+ to get it from the other cat. And that happens most often from fighting. If they have lived together for a long time and now you want to separate them, it could be difficult on the cats. Stress is bad for a cat and can be worse for a FIV+ cat. The other thing to think about is the difficulty in separating them in your home.
Yes, we have several doctors that see Beardies. :)
Maybe, maybe not.
Office visit is $58 w/a scheduled appointment, $98 if you come as a walk in. Treatment and/or medication is additional and due at time of service.
CALL BARCS DOWNTOWN
We do have several vets that see exotic pets, like hamsters. I would call to book with an exotic vet.
I would take her in to see a doctor. With her age and especially if she is painful, a doctor would probably be best.
I HAVE NO IDEA. I TOOK MY BELOVED CO-CO (R.I.P) TO WESTVIEW ANIMAL HOSPITAL TO HAVE HER NEUTERED..
Like a stalking behavior?
Not sure please call them
We had a 2 am emergency snd went to Falls Rd...great staff and love the vet that saw and did procedure on our cricket...would not EVER hesitate to go there again. Please take ypur furbaby and get him the care he needs.
Office visit is $93 currently. Price for treatment depends on what the pup needs... starts with the office visit. You should also call animal poison control.
Depends where you go. Best to go to your vet. If finances are an issue and that is certainly understandable, call the Baltimire Humane Society or MDSPCA. Any if those sorts of places will be able to help or direct you. It is well worth getting your cat spayed. I hope I have helped you. It isn't expensive to spay a cat.
Get her fixed. Many reputable organizations will fix a dog at a greatly reduced price. Call the SPCA of MD or the Baltimore Humane Society. Beware of Googling for a quick solution. Call a reputable animal rescue. I know you care. You are a kind person. Another thought. Call regular vet and ask to get on some sort of payment plan.
Oh my that is very painful. It also stops kittens from being kittens. Not sure if they do something so horrible. You can call them or better yet just get your kitten nails clipped every 2 weeks. That's only $20 a month. You can even learn to do it yourself. But please rethink your decision. God bless you and your future kitten.
FRAH is a veterinary facility, not a shelter or rescue. use Google to search for appropriate shelters or rescues in your area. Sorry you need to make this decision.
Yes ,they treat all animals issues
It's very difficult to remove the odor. Try baking soda with a bit of water. It will help with the smell. I have one timid cat and she continued to go outside of the liter box until I moved it to a new location. She prefers a private location and one that she can escape from quickly. You may need to move the liter box or purchase more and place around your home. It isn't fun but you should be able to tell more by your cat's reaction and what box he/she prefers. It helped me a great deal. She decided where she wanted her box so I removed the others. Also, the type of liter box is a big deal to many cats. You may need to try different designs. The tv program My Cat From Hell (awful title) has great tips. Check out YouTube. Good luck and don't give up. You will figure it out.
I believe so
Go to a trainer. Daff at Downtown Dog Resort is amazing at retraining you and your dog
Call a trainer. It will take time to teach her new habits. There is not an overnight fix to that.
Techically 6-8 weeksand at least 2 lbs but some vets reccomend you wait until 4 months.
Thank you
