Really nice place. Got a little kid park. Good BBQ grills and overall very well kept. Boat ramps too. But this is not a lake. Well where I'm from. This is a pond. Where I come from a lake is only a lake if you can't see land. This is a pond. Doesn't seem to have any fish in this pond. But it's a cute little park. Our park, zoo, atrium and lake is 375 Acres. Soooooooo.. yeah. Also our zoo is free.

Great metropark. Wide open well maintained grass areas with spaced out gigantic trees for shade. Perfect for a picnic. Lots of reservable shelters with charcoal grills. Lots of wildlife, water, and plants.

Wonderful Metropark. Great trails, kayaking with rapids access. Abundant birding viewing including bald eagles and great horned owls. Lots of wildlife as well.

A stunningly beautiful park by the mad River. Even when it's cold out its worth a visit. The shelters are nice to have a picnic lunch when they are available.

It's a public park so entrance is free. You can swim on days when boats are out. But on fishing days, the fishing people would probably not like it if kids were swimming
