This place is a literal headache to deal with. Twice now I have paid for black and white film to be scanned, only to be told when picking up that they could not scan black and white. And both times I did not get a refund. Customer service there is very awkward and unprofessional. They will have you standing there for 10 plus minutes while they continue working and making eye contact with you, no one reassuring you that they’ll be there to help soon, just continuing on as if the people waiting don’t exist. The whole process takes at least 15 minutes even when I’m just picking up film. And they mess up on the scans, some images will be half black and others have light leaking onto it. I would think it’s my camera if they came out like this when I scan my film at other labs, but this only happens at Colonial Photo & Hobby. Save your money and time and go to a different photo lab

Always a great experience! Staff is extremely knowledgeable. Great help with my trains! Props to the cute cashier that laughed at my dumb jokes too!

Appalling customer service! Sold me a defective lens for $1,100 filled with dust then told me it won't affect picture quality. That's not the point I asked for simple customer service about this issue not for it to be deflected. Steve the manager/owner came out with an attitude deflecting again saying it's Sigma's problem talk to them. I asked him to do the right thing and exchange the lens. He said he can not because it's out of his hands. Yet he owns and manages the place. I've spent well over $7k here the last 3 months, but will be going to B&H. I bought local to do the right thing and support local businesses, but this place doesn't deserve it. I guess some folks are too short minded to see it's more than the products you are selling. Update: photo added.

Honest store
I don't believe that they do in-house repair services anymore 😕 I could be wrong but they will send anything off to the right people to get it fixed..
Yes we stock Portra 160, 400 and 800 in 35mm and 120 formats.
We are able to develop 35mm and 120 films in color and black & white. $4.99 for color, $5.99 for black and white developing. Turn around is usually around 3 days, but varies depending on how many orders we have.
$10 for a US passport picture, $25 for an international passport picture.
I've never had mine repaired there. But they've do everything else. Can't imagine why they couldn't
Absolutely. I wouldn't trust anyone else to do it.
I saw some last time I was there
I personally can't but I would imagine that someone at Colonial Photo and Hobby probably could. They're very good they've been around for decades.
I think it's easier to call and ask the question, than to post here.
I would like to say yes, but best to call the store to check for certain. Their railroading selection is extensive.
Yes. There are additional charges for this type
Masks required, 6ft distance
Hi Madeline, We purchase cameras on Saturday mornings from 10am to noon. We may or may not be able to make an offer on your vintage equipment depending on the condition and models. I would recommend giving us a call to discuss specifics.
Hi Peter, We offer repair services for cameras, but not camcorders. We do not repair RC planes, but if you give us a call we may be able to sell you the parts you need to do the repair yourself.

It’s a website. Not all small business have the $$ or the time to fix little things like that. The store however is really nice.
We do, 50 cents a slide with a minimum charge of $12. Turn-around varies depending on how busy the lab is.
We have a limited selection of 110 film from Lomography, we can process it as well. To scan it, though, we have to do it frame by frame, which costs $5 per frame.
Yes, on a limited basis. It would be best to call in and talk to the owner, Steve, to set up an appointment and discuss what you have to sell.

They had them there on Thursday as I bought 3 of them.
It's a good possibility for the tamiya panel liner, they do carry a large amount of tamiya paints
Hi Reuben, Our 120 films start at $5.75 a roll for Ilford HP5 black and white film and $14.99 for a three pack of Lomography 400 Color. It's hard to say for sure, but I suspect you may be seeing our 5-pack pricing for many of the professional 120 films, which we can split out into single rolls.
Hi, sorry if my Portuguese is difficult to understand, I'm using a translation application. We sell Nikon binoculars. Is there a specific template you want?
Hi Deborah, We can take in interchangeable lens cameras, lenses and flashes on trade at any point. At special times we can take in this equipment for cash, usually Saturday mornings between 10am and noon, but I recommend calling to confirm before coming in if you want to sell your equipment. I also want to emphasize that we typically don't take in fixed lens or point-and-shoot cameras. Also, many film cameras are only worth store credit due to value or condition depreciation.
Yes they do, bring the camera to them for evaluation and make sure to bring the charger with it.
Alex, We sell 120 medium format film in black and white and color in a variety of brands. We do not carry 220, as far as I'm aware it is no longer manufactured.
We'd be happy to help you figure out if your Pentax K1000. We typically do clean older film cameras, but there are few services we can provide for this camera (such as seals replacement) if needed.
We have Gundam Build Days about once a month. Our next one is this Saturday 9/22 at 2pm.
Yes, we both sell light boxes and have one available by the front counter for public use.
If your asking about colonial putting your equipment on "consignment" , we are not doing that at this time. We do tradein and purchase your equipment. Call for details.
