I worked for this company for 5 years and recently quit. This company does not appreciate their employees. As a PTA my professional opinion was not valued. The lack of communication makes working at kindred even harder. The office staff constantly manipulates the field employees and when writing a letter of concern to the branch director when things aren’t going as smoothly as they should or about issues at hand the email goes without a response. I worked in several locations but Tampa was by far the worse one. The branch director Brenda is horrible to work for. Since working at that branch the company lost about 4 managers, several good PTAs and RNs. Paperwork Is constantly being added to the pile that you are already given. You will never get a pat on the back working for this company instead you will get harassed for everything you do wrong. Work life balance is horrible and my stress levels were through the roof. Do yourself a favor and find a place who values you, appreciates what you do to make them money, values the patients and where your opinions matter as far as discharging/recerting or patient progression.

I had knee replacement surgery Nov 6th and was discharged same day. I used Kindred for my recovery at home. Terri was my physical therapist and she was awesome. In the beginning I was in a lot of pain and she would take her time to make sure I was comfortable. The RN I had for the first 2 days was just as nice. I definitely recommend this company for home health care. Thanks again.

Transportation, especially to medical appointments and procedures, is a popular home care service. It can often be arranged in a few hours, but the more notice given is always better. A regular planned schedule can be set up, or the caregiver can be used on an "as needed" basis.
