Great experience. Nice greeting at the door. No waiting. Efficient person helped me and got everything taken care of. Couldn’t have been any better. Well done Vallejo DMV!

There were HELLA PEOPLE OUTSIDE, but if you have an appointment it's not that bad. Employees were nice too. EVEN @4:30pm

I made an appointment online. Got to the DMV was immediately helped by someone at the door who gave me a number and pointed me to where I should wait. It was extremely busy, but after 10min my number was called. The lady who helped me was extremely fast! I was impressed! She did not take the time to chat. Took my papers and filled in my information before I could even tell her what was going on. She had me ready to pay before I even realized what I was paying for! Haha. But she did everything well and did answer all my questions. I was outside in less than 5 mins and I had to request a new title, submit my Smog check, pay my registration, and get the stickers! A very different experience than what I'm used to from the other DMV offices I've been to!!

Possibly the smoothest DMV experience I've ever had. Took maybe 30 minututes total at 10 on a monday, and most of the line was outside, was only 3 numbers ahead of me (and ~5 minute wait) once I got my ticket. Staff were very helpful and courteous, one person in line had trouble with the payment and a staff member was very helpful and supportive, and another lady didn't have the documents she needed for her Real ID and then one of the staff members walked her through all the options for documentation and she was able to get stuff from her car to finish her trip. Overall, great experience and great team at this location.

The best thing to do is call dmv, but also just go ahead and make an appointment cause the longer you wait the longer its going to be untill you get them. At the worst you might get a fix it ticket for no license but explain it to whoever and they should let you slide if you do.
Thanks all! 😁
Can I get a replacement I.D on line?
Anytime you get arrested your license gets suspended no matter if it gets dropped or reduced to wet and wreckless.
No
Go online
Non commercial class C is $31
I had the same problem. My advice....Forward your mail to a PO box.
You can check on line .
Just walk in, very fast service and there are not many people there. It took me about 20 minutes to renew my registration
DMV can tell you the plate and Vin of every car that's been in your name. It shouldn't cost you but a couple bucks. Take your driver's lic tho
They'll use the one from your permit. If u don't like it, u can take another one the day of your drive test BUT TELL THEM BEFORE U GO ON THE DRIVE. So get their like 45 minutes before your scheduled test n let them know u want to take a picture before the test
There's probably no appointments for today. Just walk in. No wait times right now.
Best chance is to try using the online dmv service to speak to an agent, because it's tough to get a hold of someone over the phone at the dmv. The online agent should have a record of your test and would be able to assist you.
Can do both
Get every pice of id u have passport birt certificate etc.. and u should be good and u may need to pass a behind the wheel test
I'm sure you can.....
Yes and no. It depends on the rental agreement. Go to the dmv website and type in search "Driver Test Preparation," it'll give you detailed information. There's a tiny section regarding using rentals. Best of luck!
The best day to go to DMV is on Fridays around 12 noon. People have thus notion that Fridays are packed and they do not want to waste their time inside the office...not knowing how refreshing to see less people.
Have to get registered with DMV, go to their office, probably gonna need the smog check too
I believe for all behind the wheel tests you'll have to make an appointment.
Just go get the smog. You should have gotten that on the paper they printed out when you paid you registration fees.
I'm not sure now, but they used to operate 2 Saturdays a month before covid.
Sorry, when I was there I didn't notice a holiday schedule.
It is open now
If you do not have a notice then you must show up in person to do your renewal.
Yes
Everything was fine until I locked my keys in the car other than that it went smoothly.
I'll say 1-2 hours in case system goes down. Could be longer depending on the issue
There is a timeline with online test if he expires from that date you got to take it again.
Only if an office visit is required like for a real ID or driver's test. Everything else must be done online. Do as much as you can online and then have confirmation numbers ready when going into dmv. Show up early and expect to wait in line several hours. I got my real ID last week... I filled out the application online and got a confirmation number then I went to the dmv after lunch and they said they couldn't take any more walk-ins. I came back the following morning just before they opened and waited in line for several hours but I got in and got it done.
24 dollars real id is more
Cross checked the information
Only if it's thur Real ID Express. Google Real ID Express. Upload documents on DMV's webpage and take them into office before 3pm. You dont need an appointment
Yes..go online and start your application
They are not taking any new appointments or to really do too much. But they will help you figure out the best way to get what you need done to get taken care of.
If it were me, I would make an appointment.
I'm not sure. Had appointment, just needed real ID, eye test and photo. No written test.
I went there yesterday, June 8th, and they were closed. I had to go to Fairfield. At Fairfield they would not let me take the written driving test because I did not have an appointment. I tried to get an appointment, and they said they are not giving you appointment until June 15th
Written or behind the wheel?
Is it
They are not scheduling appointments. You can do the renewal on line or at a AAA office.
Hm. That's a question I can not answer. I can ONLY guess...juggling had to take place in order to accommodate open offices on Saturdays??? That's just MY thoughts...
Yes, on the computer
If you are interested in the RealID, you should check the DMV webpage for ALL the required documents. Be prepared. 👍
Check online. Some offices are.
Go to the DMV website. Or pay them a visit.
No appt need if you go late in the day about 3pm
Go to their site and try it.

Take necessary paperwork to DMV and handle your business. It will be mandatory 2020 so why procrastinate and wait..BTW DMV Vallejo is open on Saturday and not nearly as busy 👨💼😬
No appointment needed.. you can do the application online at dmv.ca.gov and then go in and finish the process.
Just don't go!
No!
Go to the nearest DMV take your interim license with u. Let them know that yours HAS expired...
You need to go and take the wrotrc test for you're permut then take the driving test ines you pass them test you can get back you're license.
Nope. Usually done at that point. Or find someone to, ahem, ahem, "smog it for you."
Early when it opens, or get an appointment
Has to be done in person because those papers need to have your signature on them. They used to have a drop box where you could put these in without having to wait in line. They may still have. But if you know there's going to be a wait I would go to Napa DMV.
When I drive by it doesn't seem half as bad as during the week. The key is, no matter what day of the week, get there right when it opens. Or, go to the Napa DMV, it"s much nicer.
Not sure but you can go on line and look it up go to dmv.ca.gov
But without an appointment you may have to wait a few hours. Show up before they open and wait in line is your best bet.
The DMV should send a renewal notice, if not go down to the nearest DMV
Go to dmv fill out California registration papers and get California license plates
The paper driver license should have a picture attached, if not go back and have the DMV attach one. It should take about three to four weeks to receive a DL or ID.
Yes
Yes during business hours. Monday thru Saturday
Goes quicker than before. Depends what you're there for. Think they're organizing it around that. Kinda vague answer, but that's DMV. 10min tops to get ticket.
I am not sure if its everry saturday
Not sure as far as I know you only get one number like your social security. Don't quote me on it.
Well mejha
I think all day (8-5) according to the signs if you're inside they'll help you but Im not sure if that applies for your particular case, I went at lunch time and was on my way an hour after (with appointment) the test is as long as your driving skills.
To apply for a REAL ID driver license or identification card, you need to provide: Proof of identity such as an original or certified copy of a U.S. birth certificate, U.S. passport, employment authorization, permanent resident card, or unexpired foreign passport with valid U.S. visa and approved I-94 form. Proof of Social Security Number such as an SSN card, W-2, or paystub with full SSN. Original or certified copies are required. California residency document such as a utility bill, rental agreement, mortgage bill, or medical document. If your identity document is in a different name, you will need to provide a certified name change document such as a marriage license, divorce decree or court document. No photocopies will be accepted
Monday Tuesday Thursday and Fridays from 8am-5pm Wednesday from 9am-5pm
We are not open yet until 9am. Wait times can go up to 2 hours. Wednesdays DMV opens at 9am the rest of the week at 8am.
Its approximately 2 to 2 1/2 hours right now but the wait time increases every time someone who has an appointment comes in it bumps your wait time
Yes you can but because we can't see what you need to renew the driver's license we will give you both a vision test and a written test
The lien holder has either signed off of the title with the representatives signature and stamp of the company's name which would be $15 to remove the the lien holder or they have given you a notarized lien satisfied on their letterhead paper and you would fill out a duplicate title form and it would be $36 to remove the lien holder. That is general information but if your lien holder was bought out by another company then you would also need a merger letter. After you pay the fees then you get a new registration card and the new title comes in the mail in 2 to 4 weeks.
Yes you can take a written test without an appointment but with the wait times you have to be in the DMV before 2 because you will not make it to the testing area before 4:30 that's when the test stops
Dmv will help every person who is in the dmv office when the doors closes at 5 as long as you are inside of the building. If you are outside with your number when the door closes at 5 you will not be allowed back in.
You can have a po box on your license and have it sent there as well. We will put the physical address on file. Now if you want to get the real Id. Then you would have to bring in a document that had both addresses. Such as an electric, water, or garbage bill that is sent to the po box but in lists the physical address as the service address. Hope this helps you
Either it's on your registration card, renewal notice, or title. If you don't have any of those then you can go into your local DMV office with your vin number to the vehicle and your drivers license or identification card and as long as you are the registered owner then they will give you the information that you need. If you are not the registered owner then they will tell you what you need to do to get it registered in your name. Hope this helps.
Id is 30 dollars. Drivers license are basic C 35 to apply for the first time or renew. 28 to duplicate as long as nothing is holding it up. Commercial drivers license original is 73. To renew the commercial drivers license is 45, and for a duplicate commercial drivers license 33-40 as long as nothing is holding it up.
ID is $30 dollars unless you go to a nonprofit agency to get a reduced fee waiver form, and unfortunately I don't know what companies have these forms but it is not DMV. If you have never had an ID or drivers license then you will need 1 of each: -an identity document such as an original U.S birth certificate (no copies), a valid U.S passport or passport card, or green card, etc. -social security card, W-2, SSA1099, Non SSA1099, or a pay check stub with the full social security number. -one proof of address with your name and current address. Could be a water, electric, garbage, cell phone, cable bill, etc. Bank statement, registration to a vehicle, insurance card to a vehicle. If its a minor then they can use proof of address from their parents as long as they are listed on the birth certificate. Hope this helps you.
You or your daughter would fill out a statement of facts which you can print off of the internet reg form 256 stating its a family transfer and remember to sign it on the back. Then the seller would sign 1a. Odometer section would need to be filled out if the car is 10 yrs old or younger. New registered owner would fill out lines 3a to 9a. The fee would be $15. If you don't have the title then you can either print the duplicate title form reg 227 or you can get it in the office and fill out sections 1, 3, and 4 as the seller and section 6 for the new owner and that cost would be $36.
Vin numbers are located in different spots on the older vehicles. It could be in the engine compartment, any of the door jams, or in the trunk
You no longer have to make an appointment for the written test. You have to enter before 3 in the afternoon because the test stops at 430. When you pass the written test and you have the driving license then you have to make an appointment for the driving test
Yes they do its the brown/black box at the the start here Window. If you are leaving payment it is only check, money order, or cashier's check
No sorry, drop box is only available during working hours 9-5 on Wednesday and the rest of the week 8-5.
First it depends on how old you are. 21 and younger has to do the chp course then you come into your local DMV office. You will take a vision and written. Both class c and mc. Once you have passed then you must hold the permit for 6 months and then you can come back to convert your permit to get your hard copy license. Now if you're 22 and older then you can come in either with or without your chp form. You will take you're basic c, m/c, and vision test. Once passed if you have your chp completion then it waives out our drive test and your license will be issued. Otherwise you would have to make an appointment for the behind the wheel driving test.
5 pm Monday through Friday but if you're in the building and stay in the building before 5 then we help all customers.
They only give you temp ids, permanent one comes in mail.
3 hour wait in an alarm in the leg
No appt is needed to take written test.
