My daughter and I stayed here while we were on a roadtrip in Northern California. The drive up to Chaminade, with the convertible top down, through the cool evening air with the scent of mature eucalyptus trees wafting over us, was something we never forgot. Amazing! My daughter even used eucalyptus accents at her beautiful wedding, many moons later. Our accommodations were luxurious and the saltwater pool under the moonlit sky was a delight. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Read the reviews before booking...STAY AWAY. There was a significant delay in checking in (5pm.) There was no notice of the delay when we arrived. No welcome greeting or explanation of resort and its amenities. When charged for the room, there was automatically $50 more than what my rate was. I wasn't told until I asked the next day. It was for a credit for the restaurant (Still haven't seen it.) Restaurant was extremely slow with bringing drinks and food (20 min to wait for a server to introduce.) Also saw a ton of spiderwebs around the area of us eating. One of the hiking trails had a fallen tree blocking the road and we couldn't go around it. For the price, it was a poor experience.

We came here for a wedding and was given a "discount" resulting in the rooms being $495 for their base double queen room. Not to mention we booked this out a couple months before but a friend of ours walked up the same day, got the exact same room for $200... So we paid $300 more for what?! There was NOTHING special about this, not to mention the fan in the bathroom was broken along with the AC that was not working and blowing out hot air instead. There was nothing upgraded or modern about the entire venue. We were very disappointed by the quality of the rooms, the mutual areas and the staff. The staff at the view was extremely slow moving and more of an inconvenience for them to serve you. After checking out, brought up the issues with the room and they thought it was accommodating to take off resort fees, big whoop... Then dealt with Hannah and she was trying to be helpful and was going to take more off our bill and mentioned she would email the difference in charges, still have not received that email, and instead of having a difference, I have more charges on my credit card. NOTHING HAS BEEN RESOLVED. The customer service is strongly lacking and not accommodating and feel very cheated out of a lot of money. Unhappy, do not recommend and would like this place to reach out to have my issue resolved as I not have 5 different charges from them.

A lovely location tucked away amidst luscious greenery and soothing mountain air. The villas are nice and with a view of the natural landscape, it gives you privacy and peacefulness not found in many locations in California. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Also the Spa area is a great treat that adds to a great experience.

Yes, linwoods patio allows dogs, and some nice trails. But not allowed in pool or recreation area.

In 1930, Chaminade Boy’s High School was opened on the property now occupied by the Chaminade Resort and Spa. The High School was named after Father William Joseph Chaminade, a French priest and educator who founded the Society of St. Mary in the 1700’s following the French Revolution. The main building, in use today, was where the school was located. It was the Society that founded the school.
I believe you need to request one.
Good afternoon Terri! I'm Jezzel Chavez the front office manager at Chaminade. We are in fact dog friendly. However, there is a fee of $150 for the duration of the stay. There is always the exception of service animals that fall within the regulations of the ADA. All that being said we have a fantastic pooch menu at our Linwoods Bar & Grill that would rival that of your everyday establishment. To give you an idea, we serve a salmon flank served on a bed of rice that even the everyday individual would love to dig into. I hope this helps and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out :)
I'm not sure we did not take a pet. Reviewer. The best thing is to call the front desk or they also have a Facebook page.
