I like the new appointment only system. I can get in and out much faster than the old walk ins system. Not a fan of answer machine set up, it was murder trying to get thru to even have an appointment playing phone tag when they called back and missed me also.

Impressive, very professional, cordial. No line but needed to make appointment. Been there before and this is the first time where I noticed a new friendly and welcome attitude.

Upon arrival, I was pleased to see that this facility took the Covid-19 seriously. They had signs posted and hand sanitizer at the ready. I was greeted, checked-in and assisted by the guard. Once inside, you'll be greeted by the staff; they'll contact the party you'll be visiting. I was then asked to be seated. The furniture could've used a little cleaning, but over all, the place's appearance was acceptable. The walls were plastered with programs and groups one could join or contact for assistance which was nice. Good visit overall.

I was told that I needed a form from the veteran's affair office to get veteran printed on my drivers license. I drove over there and was told to sign in and wait. After waiting about 15 minutes ( there was one other man waiting) and watching the veterans guy talk to the girls working there and playing with his I phone, he got up and said they would be cLosing and we would have to come back in an hour. I said I only need a form he said again I would have to come back in an hour. I decided to just forget about the form and left.

Yes, there is a income limit if you don't apply for benefits at least 2 yrs after separation from the military. Many do get their benefits due to a claim filed for any medical issues you can tie to your service time. You can apply online too, and submit the application and wait for a response with either a reason why you don't qualify or an appointment to see medical to evaluate what you may want to file a claim for. Many hesitate applying after discharge and run into this issue. Good luck.
VA. Hospital Vash Section 8 Housing for Veterans Loma Linda California. That I know of. Or check with Veterans Affairs Building on state St. in Hemet California. I think they can help you sign up there for Section 8 Housing for Vash Housing at the VA.Hospital. The main Office is at 5555 Arlington ave. Riverside California. I hope that helped you.
Normally there are three VSOs on site at any given time. They even pull from Indio on Tuesdays when one of them is at Loma Linda. Sounds like it was just a bad coincidence. Keep with it. They are usually very good there in Hemet. Another tip...Be there at 0730. You get seen alot faster if you are one of the first in when they open.
Can you just walk in or do you need to schedule an appointment?
Yes, got to call for an appointment. Good people there to help.
Yes go to the office the gentlemen that work there are very nice and very helpful my dad is a Korean war vet
You would have to come in a speak to a VSO. Office hours are 8 am to noon and 1300 to 1600 hours. Monday through Thursday. They are closed on fridays and it's a first come first serve.
I don't think they do I.D. there. I got mine at the V.A. Loma Linda
Do you work there? Technically the flag should be taken down at sundown if proper lighting is not provided. If you work there report the lack of flag protocol. If you don't work there don't touch it...its government property I think.
