I entered Hemet Valley Recovery Center on 10/26/17 I am grateful to say that I have been sober ever since. When I walked into HVRC I was broken and had lost everything. I had no hope. I prayed every night for God to take me home to him and I woke up every morning angry that I was still alive. The counselors are incredibly in tune with each client. I was treated with dignity and compassion and I was shown that there was hope. HVRC believes in treating the whole mind, body & spirit. Through the daily groups and assignments I was able to begin the healing I so desperately needed! Today I am part of the Alumni family that is strong and supportive. We meet each week with the current clients so that we can pass along what was so freely given to us. HOPE, SERENITY, RECOVERY, ACCEPTANCE, FORGIVENESS, CONNECTION, LOVE and my absolute favorite JOY. 💜🦋🕉

Worst rehab they lie to you your face about people that get Covid. The place is disgusting. The staff gets obsessive. All the high ratings are from the staff directly.

It's been a few years since I went through this place.. twice. (I think. Could a been 3, lol... I just couldn't get them to see things MY way) The first time nearly killed me. I'd been snorting over 120 mgs of methadone per day. At the time, there were only around six hospitals around Socal that would even do methadone detox. And NOBODY would do an intake on anyone taking more than 60 mgs per day. (to messy) I begged them for a month to let me in.. And, I made it even harder for them from the beginning. (That usually doesn't start happening until I'm feeling better, lol) as I was spitting out the Subutex, because it tasted terrible under my tounge and made me nauseous..Subutex was the only thing helping me, but I didn't know it.. Pure hell. My life, at that point was so screwed up, I remember sharing in group that staying here was a step up for ME. Lol

While this place did help my husband overcome his addiction to opiates, these people seem more interested in making money than anything else. We have already been slammed with a $750 bill, a $350 bill, and another $300 bill just came today. They don’t even explain what the charges are for! AND if you want to stay longer there than 30 days they do offer sober living, however that’s another $210 a week out of pocket. They don’t call family members with updates or offer any sort of family therapy sessions over the phone or Skype if you live out of state and can’t make it to their family weekends. It’s a great way to make your patients relapse by putting them into debt, although I have my suspicions that’s what they want.

Questions & Answers

Do they take med-ical insurance

Brett Gregory | Feb 28, 2022
Hemet Valley Recovery Center | Feb 28, 2022

Hello Brett, unfortunately we do not accept Medi-Cal. Feel free to call us at 866-273-0868 if you need any referrals or you can visit www.samsha.com to locate a facility near you that accepts your insurance

Are there still open 12-step meetings on weekdays? Seems like I remember them stopping that because of the coffee messing with meds, blood pressure, etc.

Hemet Valley Recovery Center | Aug 27, 2021

Hello Robert, you are correct, we no longer have the open 12 step meetings

Does the HEMET VALLEY RECOVERY CENTER place significant primary focus on 12 step recovery methods, protocols & values. Do they emphasize the necessity of 12 step program participation in after care.

Yes they do... My biggest disappointment was that I have chronic back pain and was told they had methods to help. I'm a Christian man and the methods they used weren't inline with my beliefs and after 2 weeks I learned very little. Kaiser medical coverage is one that has the best coverage there. Good luck to you.

Is your program dual diagnosis?

Marna McClure | Aug 27, 2020

Hello Marna, we are not a dual diagnosis specific program but can work with individuals with a dual diagnosis with substance abuse being the primary diagnosis. Feel free to call us if you would like to speak with an intake counselor at 866-273-0868

After 11 back surgeries and hyperanalgesia my sons disease has spread .He has real pain. What do you do for those that need meds and aren’t addicts but have hyperanalgesia ?

I'm so sorry about your son.. breaks my heart to hear what's going through. Have you looked into spinal cord stimulator? Also HVRC is a rehab. If your son isn't an addict or dependant on meds then I say approach pain meds with caution. Also you might want to look into homeopathic. I hope and pray he gets better. God bless you and your family 🙏...
