Cant get a hold of anyone. Been trying for weeks. Their office is closed to the public as well. I applied for emergency assistance. Because you know, its an EMERGENCY, and my application is still pending. A MONTH LATER. No updates, no phone call, no email, no letter in the mail. NOTHING. At this point, Im just trying to figure out what exactly is the purpose of DPSS because I sure as hell cant get any help.

Took about 15 minutes for my call to be answered, but when it was, the worker was pleasant and helpful. Updated a change of address and replacement medi-cal card. Saved me hours by not having to go in person.

The workers do their best to help everyone in order I have no issues with them I thank God for the workers it's the people applying that piss me off. They walk in smelling like weed from a mile away like seriously who goes to the welfare stoned af and why are they always so damn rude they always wanna fight for the smallest things super ghetto unappreciative people. Who feel like u owe them something well most of them anyway

Impossible to get ahold of your worker . Never send the paperwork you are supposed to get to keep benefits then shut it off and act like it's your fault. And on top of it all their damn automated telephone (the ONLY way to talk to anyone) is broken!! I can't even get to talk to real person before it goes quiet and hangs up on me!! All I want to do is shut off my benefits and I can't do it? Have had sooo many problems with these people and I only needed the benefits while I finished up school, and they just keep shutting them off randomly EXCEPT when I want them off!! California needs to fix their system or fire every worker at that office they are useless.
