Was in the home care provider system already, background fingerprint was already cleared. Needed to do a update orientation that was instructed by IHSS hotline 03/28/2018, in the mix of that the hotline worker instructed me to update my information once my orientation was needed was a SOC840. Once I walked to the window to fill out a form, It was three front desk workers which she gave me the form and I updated it with my information then I turned it in to the lady who gave me the form. She turned around and gave it to another co-worker and the other come-workers said I did not need it and torn it up and throw it in the trash. I try to tell the worker what the hotline told me what I needed to do and the front desk worker got aggressive told me that I should not tell her how to do her job and walked from behind her desk and into the lobby, and started popping her knuckles. I was there for one thing to get my form updated. All the information from the orientation they was supposed to keep and gave it back to me. Due to the fact of they were being so rude they realized they did not keep any of my paperwork. The boss called me from the once I got home saying “We gave you all the paperwork back that was supposed to go into the system” then I processed to tell the boss that the front three workers wanted to get physical because I said I had my background fingerprint was cleared through PASC CBI CLEARANCE INQUIRY already. The lady that walked behind her desk said to me that “I was not supposed to do my background fingerprint until I did my orientation” but she was not listening and turn it into a big problem. WORST SYSTEM EVER!! I have spent en entire morning trying to speak with someone. No one ever answers and the automated system is useless. The provider help line is of no use as no one ever answers there either. Even the Ombudsmans number refers you right back to the useless and ineffective automated system. Care providers provide a valuable service to people in need and should be treated with the respect of an employee.

Wethever you took the tb test call them and get the record of it ok?
You need to call the helpline to schedule yourself an appointment for orientation. That's the first step you need to do, to become a provider.
Yes. It's a requirement to do an orientation class when it's your first time as a care provider or you have been a provide before, but you haven't worked for a year or more. You would have to call the helpline number so you can be scheduled an appt for the class, they will let you time and date for the class.
Good question. I dont have a clue. Call the supervisor
Call your local IHSS office and they can connect you with the right department.
Yes, you get paid for weekends if your recipient asks you to work on weekends. I work every Sat. & Sun.
Call the 800 number
You would have to call the helpline, social workers don't have direct numbers/lines.
