We paid about $300 to ship packages from NY and on the same day they arrive at this post office, someone forwards them back to the sender. On our second attempt they finally updated the tracking information to say the tenant moved. They never bothered to check the name on the packages or go to the address, because this person moved in about 3 months ago.

Is it possible to leave less than one star? This station is an epic disaster. It's anyone's guess whether they ever deliver the mail, they send out emails stating they attempted to deliver your package at 10:15 pm and left a note stating they could not find your address (try to make sense of that if you can) and they rarely answer their phones if you call to ask about it, and when they do, they generally lie.

I was not happy with the the way the clerks handled my situation at all, and was quite upset about it. But I received a call from Kim after I had spoken to the representative at the 1-800 number and she cleared things up. While the experience was frustrating, I really do appreciate Kim for reaching out to me quickly to sort things out.

My review is for the passport services. I came here to apply for my son’s passport renewal with an anticipation of horror. When I was applying for his passport for the first time it was in San Francisco and it was a pure hell of an experience! I did expect the same situation or even worse. Oh how wrong I was! First thing that happened- we came to our appointment time and we were accepted right away! Then, a lady got our documents! We brought everything from the list and surprisingly it was enough! A minute later she took my son to the room to take a picture, allowed me to pay with my debit card and issued a receipt. That’s it!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! Last time in SF it took me the whole day and this precious experienced left me emotionally scared. I still cannot believe it took us 13 minutes to renew the passport- it’s pretty freaking amazing! Thank you passport lady!!!

I recently experienced the same thing. I came to understand why and what you should do. First, Not all United States Post Offices have a Passport Counter. You need to go through the Secretary of State website. Passport New Original, Renew, or Lost/Stolen, Determine if you need a rush, or if you want the card option in addition to the booklet, then fill out the appropriate application. If you are not in a rush you cannot make an appointment at all locations it is best to follow the online steps and pay close attention to what you are doing and scheduling; you can still get expedited service, but not the super short service at all locations...if you are flying in less than two weeks you need to go to a full service location and bring your travel itinerary too. Have all your documents ready and copied in advance to speed up the appointment. Fill out your application online then print it and schedule an appointment if you need a Rush Service. Some locations are an absolute nightmare. For example the Passport Mega Center in Van Nuys was a line nearly four hours long regularly. I made an appointment for the Post Office near the farmers Market on Beverly located at: 7610 Beverly Blvd Los Angeles, CA 90048. They were so fast, efficient and took my photos and she even asked a few questions and realized I needed to include an extra Affidavit that I had forgotten because my old passport had been stolen. The lady doing the passports is super professional and pays attention to all the details which is great. She takes the time to ensure your application wont get rejected which is very important.
