The guy Tony is horrible person. I’m a veteran in good standing with my union sold everything moved down to LA from Northern California to work. On my drive down Tony said if I make it in the next 3 hours he’ll make it work. I was still a solid 6 hours away. I came down here I pleaded with him, my union and the national rep. Tony single handedly without any reason denied my transfer. Tony is responsible for one more homeless veteran in LA. I’m disgusted with this hall.

Katerina, the "phone operator" that answers the phone in the L.A. office IS SO RUDE & INEFFICIENT!!!!!!!!!!! Every time I would call she has smart remarks, rushes you off the phone, doesn't wait for one to ask something, THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! I am disliking because of her BAD service.

Yeah there is a waiting period just keep checking in every other month
Being Hispanic for sure
Okay, and you're going to school while you're working there ? Or you finish school then apply?
Speak not Spanish
Yes you can.they can request you specifically
I am not familiar with FMLA, but I am familiar with PFL. I am pretty sure they get filed the same, through the EDD. They send the notice on your status, not the Union.
Getting fired from a contractor does not get you kicked out of the Union. That is a separate process. He should put his name on the out of work list. He does need to be in good standing. Paid dues and apprenticeship classes are required. Hope this helps.
Depends how bussy it is and were u signed up on the out of work list and if ur an aprentice
Yes
Recomend not doing it if the union dosent know about the job u risk gettling kicked .plus none of that hrs would go to ur bacation and retirement

Go to the local union or the laborers training school in azuza and sign up for boot camp. Once you complete the boot camp you can go back to the local and pay for your membership. The membership is at least $500

Call the labor union an request an application
Yes been solid for last 4 years.. You get placed with a contractor much faster if you have a Class" A" license...I would suggest that to anyone in the union.
There's 4 pay groups as Journeyman. I believe the lowest starts at 33 & some change. Im at 37.89.. But foremans and operators thru the laborers, make much more!
Go to the Union sign up as a journeyman with your dues membership money and show up every morning until your given an assignment which seniority comes first, first come first serve and seniority. . . of course don't quote me my dad was a union about 15 yrs ago. At 80 local 300 still allowed him to work with his pay rate. Worked over 50 yrs. Join any Union by paying dues.
