You cannot call this a “Union”. A union is consistently fighting for their members, a union cares for their members. This “corporation” I am forced to be apart of , takes $750+ from me every year. That’s less money for food, less money for gas, etc. You would think given the times we are in they would step up to the plate for their members. No new information is ever shared with their members, the local bargaining agreement booklet is over a year expired. They do not make an effort to move forward in negotiations with companies. They act like they are on your side, but all they are is an unnecessary middle man that takes your hard earned money, and for what? To make union t-shirts to show “we’re in this together”? This “Union” has so many security companies under its umbrella and that impedes how far it will try to go for its members. I’m not the only one who thinks this “Union” IS A JOKE.

They deduct their dues fees off my paycheck, but I can’t sign into my benefits for the entire month. Difficult to deal with

This Union does not care about its members. I've watched my friend do his best to work with this union. They played the new member meeting (as they decided it) and everything that was promised such as health insurance. But the SEIU2015 refused to give them their halts insurance plan when it was open enrollment. SEIU2015 said they should go apppybfor Obama Care.

I wrote a letter to SEIU I ONLY WORK 23.15 HOURS A WEEK YOUR TAKING DUES OUT FOR SOME ONE THAT WORKS 80 HOURS I GET A CHECK FOR 239.00 EVERY TWO WEEKS WHAT THE HELL MAN!!!!! TAKE ME OFF THE MEMBER LIST NOW!!!! I did send a letter last week !!!!!
Yes and depends on which county you are in on how much the wages are. Only different because of either the population of the county or the cost of living in your county
It depends on which county you are in you can always find which region you are in and come up to the union building and ask to get help and they will be more tgan happy to asist you
Well it was stated that the social worker can not fire you from your position. You could have been out doing errands or Landry etc the fact you not being there is totally irrelevant to your job. Are you a memeber of SEIU local 2015. Call the MAC CENTER they will be more than happy to asist you further

It's in your contract, if you sign the contract to be a union member than you are sending your union dues. If you are not sending your union dues you are not a union member. Union dues are 3% of your IHSS income. That range is between $15.50 and $45 at the maximum.

Overtime is calculated by the time you recieve and anything over 40 hours they add half of the time with the regular pay
