Due to financial problems I need to stop giving any money to my union. I feel bad but cant do anything about it. So my question is how do.I go.about having them stop taking money out of my checks?

I wrote a letter to SEIU I ONLY WORK 23.15 HOURS A WEEK YOUR TAKING DUES OUT FOR SOME ONE THAT WORKS 80 HOURS I GET A CHECK FOR 239.00 EVERY TWO WEEKS WHAT THE HELL MAN!!!!! TAKE ME OFF THE MEMBER LIST NOW!!!! I did send a letter last week !!!!!

When signing up with the union there is a clause inside the agreement that legally binds you to a full year commitment and on the day you signed you after a year in the contract it states you have to send a letter to the union stating that you no longer wishes to recieve their services any longer.

I have the same thing for the last year I've been trying to get out of paying dues n every time I call get a different answer...but still taking my money n they cannot help me.when I need it always n excuse cannot even get health ins...
