A nice place to bring your little ones to get to meet farm animals for free! They don't have fees to get in to this area, and they'll allow you to feed the animals so remember to pack some celery, lettuce and carrots! They typically have cows, ducks, chickens, bunnies, goats, sheep, turkeys, and I guess I'm missing one or two.

I've lived in the Bay Area all my life and have never been here. What a hidden gem! If you've got little kids, the mini farm is awesome to check out and feed the animals and if you're looking for beautiful hiking trails , Tilden has that in abundance. Oh....and it's free?! Bit of a winding road and drive to get there but totally worth it AND on the way there's BEAUTIFUL views of the Bay overlooking San Francisco. Total photo ops! Enjoy!

I visit often, weekends are crowded, weekdays there are fewer people. The park is wonderful. I enjoy hiking and these trails are wonderful.

There's a dirt path going through the bottom of the area that'll be a bit bumpy but should be fine. Alternatively, Nimitz trail from inspiration point is a fully paved out and return with beautiful views.
