I really enjoyed this store. The employees are very inviting and helpful and I was happy to learn that they carry plant-based yarns.

They have a good selection of wool and merino yarn. They mostly sell the yarn in hanks.

Cute little shop with a unique selection of yarn brands (many I had never seen before and I travel all over looking at yarn!). I'll be back when I'm in the neighborhood

Lovely yarn store, so many cute accessories and a great selection of yarn. They even have a fabric section!

We are currently closed to the public because of Covid, and have been since the first shelter-in-place in March 2020, so we definitely take this very seriously. We will not be reopening until all staff members are fully vaccinated.
Hello! Thanks for your question. Black Squirrel Berkeley does not carry Ito Tategami yarn. BSB does carry products from all women-owned businesses, and a wide variety of different fibers. Let me know what you're looking for, and maybe we can get you hooked up with something that'll work for you.
Hi! We do! We have sport weight Lani’s Lana in a black and white ply, a Wool & the Gang worsted cotton that has black and white plies, and a couple different hand-painted white yarns with black speckles. We also carry Misti Alpaca’s black and white chunky, but we are currently sold out (it sells out fast).
Hi! Unfortunately we don’t keep that particular Brown Sheep yarn in stock, but if you have trouble finding it we are happy to order it for you.
We may be able to help - definitely if it was something from our shop! If we can’t find a match we can help you figure out the best route, or where to go to find a better match. Feel free to stop by any time! 💖
Hi! We don’t carry Koigu - we love their Yarns but we specialize in indie dyers within the US, and they’re from Canada. I’d try our friends over at Avenue Yarns!
