Beautiful ! Pictures can never do justice to this place. Summer is the best time to visit and the wildflowers are starting to bloom now. We went on a clear day and witnessed the beauty of rainier.

A very educational place, mainly depicting Mount Rainier National Park from the seismic and geographical side. The excellently described didactic exhibition brings the Park closer and helps to get to know the Park from the scientific point of view. Also most importantly, from where you can admire the volcano from the north, which also looks powerful and majestic.

Lots of parking and great views. They are main restrooms right at the entrance of the trails. They are also restrooms just to the right of the snack bar. This spot marks the beginning of many trails, and even if you do not want to hike and just hang around at the parking lot you get to see Mount Rainier as well as wild flowers when the season is in full swing. This is also a firm favorite to do some astrophotography. I would recommend walking up a little bit just so you can see the visitor center and the peaks a little bit more clearly with some depth. This was the first year where I'd seen so much of snow right at the center! Also the drive up here is gorgeous as well many pull-outs are available be careful when parking. Enjoy!

Stunning. It felt like a storybook view of the Alps. Seriously, so beautiful! They have bathrooms... though, at the time we went, were really dirty. Plan on bringing sanitizer. The picnic areas were great. The view, on a clear day, is spectacular.

Is there RV parking? Is it hard for a big RV to get up the Road.

There are some long parking spots and we saw several RVs parked up there (buses as well). We don't have an RV but the road seemed fairly standard for a national park.

How far do you have to walk to play in the snow? Lol

Based off of Google maps and based on a visit to Sunrise trail, the nearest bit of "snow" to the Sunrise Visitor Center is at Frozen Lake/Frozen Lake Dam, which are about 1.5 miles hike from the visitor center. Frozen Lake is a protected area and you cannot play there but if you hike a bit South West up the hill towards Mount Rainier, you'll see more "snow" that you can actually "play" in. Why the quotation marks? At this point in the year, all of the snow has turned to ice. You won't be gleefully throwing fluffy snowballs around. Instead you'll be throwing dirty ice balls around. Trust me, ice balls hurt. Also, please do not go off trail. The Forest Service is repairing the surrounding meadows and basically everything around the trails. Signs are posted. There's still plenty to enjoy even if you cannot their a few snowballs around! Stay safe and maybe consider bringing some bear spray with you (or at least some noise makers)!

Hiking up higher trails you will still see some left over snow above the visitor center but most areas should be clear.
