The visitor center has a museum and a theater showing highlights and sled dogs of Denali. The exhibition is very informative. Park cafeteria is nearby. Souvenir shop is also the same area. Nature hike with park ranger is offered daily in spring/summer and it starts from here (check with the visitor center to reconfirm the timing). This visitor center is a must visit if you come to Denali.

The two gentlemen were welcoming and very informative. One of them (I am so sorry I forgot your name) patiently described all the trails. I was very please with his show of patience and knowledge. We were visiting from NY/NJ, so we started to discuss the mannerism between New Yorkers and Alaskans. There is no charge to hike the trail, and the trails are clearly marked and well kept. Beautiful views. We enjoyed the trails. You are in for a treat. It's a high possibility that you'll see moose and black bears. We didn't see the black bears, but there were reports that there was a black bear with cubs along one of the trails, from other hikers. Hence we avoided that trail (call us wimps 🤣🤣). Even though hiking the trails is free. Be prepared to pay for parking, and you should also put a few dollars in the donation box.

While the visitors center had been closed due to Covid, when open, it’s very cool. Big glass windows all the way around to see the beauty of the park. There are many quilt displays too! The bathrooms are very clean. Staff are very helpful and there’s a gift shop inside too. We love coming here!

Bears don't like surprises. Travel in groups, sing the "Hey Bear, Ho Bear" song and make sure everyone else in the group carries bear spray too. That's been working very well for quite a while.
Yes, they do tend to fill up somewhat quickly. And also, see what they have available consider the bus tour that goes into the inner Corridor of Denali.

Rates for most National Park services are increasing nationwide, so the rates may increase for the 2019 season.
It depends on how you are traveling. Keep in mind you will not get to see the mountain unless you go in the park. I would say if by train a day. If you have your own car you could spend a few days exploring and hiking.
Morino Grill is now closed, due to covid. There isn't a place to get a meal in the park any longer. Hopefully someone will open one soon.
